ASA Micro E6-B

Fitment is more than adequate in my kneeboard (takes 5x7 legal pads). Great for impressing older pilots (to include DPEs) with your ability to use reliable tech, despite being laughably over-generalized compared to more modern flight planning.It's a great addition to your life. The user guide has many exercises to try your skills and provides a key in the back to grade yourself. It also comes with a nice plastic case, but mine has found a home in my nylon kneeboard. I don't use it often, but when I do I know that it is always better than trying to do mental math.Great purchase and reminds me of my Army flying days.

I purchased as a novelty gift item to a non pilot. I have used this type of item in past. This item is very well made and hardy, and good value for cost. However in real world use, I would opt for larger, easier to read unit. This item can surely be 100 percent used, and no stars off review, just giving my two cents in for practical use.

They don’t make them like they used to. I had a metal one from 20 years ago that functions cleaner with better accuracy and more functions.

Amazon needs to ship this in a box instead of a soft letter/pouch. The first one got dented on the face during shipment because it was not shipped a hard box instead of the soft letter package. I had to return it as damaged. Luckily the second one arrived un-damaged but still in soft package. It’s a good micro E-6B and works great.

Love the micro E6B. Fits in my jacket top pocket, easy to use and accurate. Very well made! In the days of electronic devices, the manual E6B is an oft forgotten brilliant piece of engineering. Thank you ASA for continuing to manufacture this!

So, first of all, when I received it, I found this E6B was way smaller than expected, I wanted the regular one, but then I decided it was OK, because it was really compact.Then I found it was bended in one side of the inner circle. Now, I would return this one, right away.

A great little flight computer for those of us who still enjoy "old school" navigation. What you have to get a grip on from the very beginning is that any E6-B is really a specialized circular slide rule. As with many old school disciplines, it requires a bit more work than modern electronics, but, at the same time, you have a much better grasp of what is going on with your flight. It's what I learned on thirty-five years ago and this one works really well. However, a word of warning - if your grip on math is weak and/or you cannot "read and follow directions" well, then this little gem is not for you except for display in your "pilot's cave."
