MerrellMen's Waterpro Maipo 2 Water Shoe

Great all around summer (water) shoe!
I originally got these as a water shoe for a beach vacation that could also be used as all around shoes with no show socks. I originally had the Maipo 1, but these are much better, lighter and more versatile than I expected. Very light weight and lots of mesh on the uppers that seriously keep my feet cool even on the hottest days compared to any of my other Merrells - even better than the original Maipo. They have decent support and good laces and I've been wearing them pretty much as my daily drivers since I got home. They are not hiking shoes by any means, but I did some hiking in them and they work for light trails. They are about as perfect as an all around hot weather summer water shoe can be - I'm surprised that I wear them as much as I do.

My husband loves these!
I gave a pair of these Merrills to my husband. Right out of the box he loved them. True to size.He got a new pair because his 1st pair where lost during a fishing weekend.Again, the Merrills were a perfect fit right out of the box. The 1st pair were found so now hubby has 2 pairs.

Comfortable and breathable
Great shoes overall! I work outdoors and constantly find myself wading through water and streams. The best part about these shoes is they are breathable, comfortable, and lightweight.Once my shift is over, I place the shoes in my truck and they are always dry in the morning. I always make sure to let loose the laces and pull the tongue out as far as I can to help with drying. So far I have no complaints. I’ll update if any problems occur.

Good for water-sports where hiking may be involved
I used these shoes on my trip to Thailand. These were the only shoes I wore, besides flip flops (thongs, sandals, slippers of course) I wore these on multiple occasions but the main ones I purchased them for were:-Day hiking in a national park (2 hour hiking thru moderate, well marked trails - up and down main stairs + dirt trails, ~5km)-Kayaking and rock-scrambling (descended / climbed rocks using ropes and rocks for handholds)-Hiking and cliff jumping (30 minute hike on dirt trails, w/ moderate incline and cliff sides)These held up during hiking. Only downside is sometimes you will get small rocks and dust in your shoes. This is because there is mesh all along the top. They also have good traction for rock climbing, with moderate traction over wet rocks. I never slipped and fell while wearing these, but depending on the rocks, it may be better to go barefoot.Since the whole top is mesh, these shoes have great airflow and dry quickly. They completely dried overnight between uses. After about 3-4 hours they were moderately dry. I wouldn't trek long distances in these shoes when wet. The walking I did while they were wet did not result in any chafing or blisters though. Not the trendiest shoe - thus I never wore them in the city. Tucking in the laces makes the yellow laces look a bit better as well. I wore my sandals or New Balance for dinners and what not.

Arrived quick and un-blemished
I've always been a Nike air fan, for 30+ years.. These are the first pair of shoes that are making me re-consider what I appreciate in a shoe. If durability holds up, I am not certain I will purchase more Nike. These particular Merrell shoes are ultra light, drain well, are very comfortable and have incredible traction on a variety of surfaces. The only misleading aspect of these shoes is that it was stated that they are fast drying. The leather and insulation components of the shoe do not dry fast (within 3 days in a closet), but they did not smell after trekking through the lake and putting them in the dryer. I absolutely love these shoes!

Good stuff
Third pair of Merrell water shoes. These are 9.5's and they fit great. I am a kayak/paddle board guide, and use them for taking out guests. I need something rugged which will protect my feet from oyster shells and cacti. These do the job. They are well worth the price point, and better than that Chinese junk they sell on here. I have searched all the major US outdoor brands, and these are the best I have found so far.PS - I actually use mine for Scuba Diving boots as well...lol.

Great Fit, Good Grip!
Got these for my husband and he says the fit is great. The sole is thinner than on a running shoe, the result is that you have more "feel" for the ground- helps with traction. These have plenty of grip no matter what kind of surface you are on. When I tell him to 'get a grip' he puts these on!

Great for wet hiking
I purchased these for a trip to Costa Rica where I knew I would be in wet areas; but also need to do some mild hiking. These shoes were exactly what I wanted and were great! I wore them in dirt, mud, and water while walking through the cloud forest. I wore them barefoot, without socks for hours on several occasions and they were comfortable. Super comfortable, and highly versatile while not looking too serious.

Scarpe Merrel Maipo 2
Ottimo prodotto. Comodissime anche per camminare non impegnative ma se le usate per questa attività consiglio di indossare delle calze altrimenti vi fanno lo scrubber alla pianta dei piedi
