Prefect for my fluval but make sure the suction cups reach the bottom
This was prefect upgrade for my fluval evo. Had to make sure the suction cups fit in or else it hits the glass and makes it seem very loud. But once we got it it’s about as silent as the one in the evo!

Good pump...
This is a good replacement for Fluval Flex 123l's default pump. It's fairly quiet and has a good gph for that tank.I also use it to move water fast during tank shutdowns.A good price and well worth the cost.

Louder than expected
I installed this on my EVO 13 gallon tank after a bunch of reviews on here and elsewhere. The pump is almost as noisy as the original one that came with the tank. It’s the propeller and I hoped it would quiet down after a few days. It has not. This is really disappointing considering the price and the strong brand. If you do want to use for the EVO 13 gallon the suction cups extend beyond the pump body so they do not adhere in the pump compartment. Yes I understand some may think this is the cause of the noise, it is not. It is a tight fit for an EVO 13. I don’t think I would purchase this again.

Eheim quality products
I love eheim products and I’ve been using them for years. These are fantastic pumps. I use them for things like media reactors. Super efficient long lasting and quiet.

Its too noisy!
I didn't think from the reviews it would be as bad as it actually is. That's a boo boo on my part. Don't get me wrong, it's not like its making a lot of noise....but it certainly is not silent!I thought with this pump, I would not need a circulation pump; and while this actually is true and does work in that manner...the silent running sacrifice is too much.I will put this away for a back up situation instead, keep the stock pump on my Fluval 13.5, and purchase a mini circulation pump that has silent reviews.I really wish now I had just done that! They really do say hindsight is 2020, but after this COVID-19 year...that's an understatement! lolCheers

Works great
Using in the 13.5g Fluval Evo Sea. No issues with using it, a little better flow then the OEM pump.

Eheim is the BEST submersible pump in mission-critical applications.
You want a pump that lasts and lasts? You want one that pumps what it says it actually pumps? Want a pump that has replacement parts? Want a pump that’s 20% more than a Chinese pump but 100% better? These Eheims are the pump for you. For all those reasons. By the way, whenever you take a submersible pump out of service, store it under water until you intend to re-use it. If you let it dry the magnet will rust and swell and the seals will dry and shrink. Both things will end your pump. Even more so with cheap Asian pumps.

Upgrade for Fluval Evo XII (13.5 gallon)
Two pumps are typically used for the Evo upgrade: Eheim CompactON 1000 and SICCE Syncra Silent 1.0. Both are known for their reliability and durability. Eheim won on price. It is a perfect upgrade as it was a simple swap. No adaptations needed. It is noisy, but not a huge difference if you make sure you suction cup down the pump. Due to increase flow, I had to move my heater to chamber one. I also added Vivid Creative Aquatics 1/4" Random Flow Generators on the stock outlets. These two changes really transformed the flow of the tank.
