SalewaMen's Wildfire Edge Hiking Shoes

These are GREAT quality versatile shoes. Excellent traction, great protection, cool look.I was in the market for crossover hiker/climber shoes.I was deciding between MID version and low version of these.Because I didn't want GTX for my summer hikes, I decided to go with low version.I measured my feet and bought according to Salewa sizing chart.I normally wear 10.5 and Salewa size chart suggested 44 (10.5) so 10.5 I ordered.I gave them a quick try at home and they felt acceptably snug and didn't feel like they needed any break in - so I took them for 2 weeks hike in Colorado.It was very first day in the mountains when I quickly realized that the shoe is actually too short.My big toes were crushing against hard rubber rand on descents so bad that I BROKE both nails on my big toes and it took me almost a YEAR to recover...I could not use them any more.Today, (a year later) I decided to dig these out from my closet to put these for sale or something.Imagine my surprise when I discovered that the shoes are actually size US 10 (EU43) ! And the box they're in says 10.5 (EU44).Amazon just shipped me WRONG size in a correct sized box!How did that happen Amazon?Attaching proof pics if Amazon ever bothers to investigate this matter.I was too naïve and didn't check the size on the shoe. And that resulted into ruined hiking experience.There you have it folks - don't trust Amazon blindly.Check the size on the shoe.

Walk/hike a lot. These have kept me comfortable doing 12-20 mile walks around Chicago this summer. My 3rd pair...with 3 more in my closet (blue eyes, wear a lot of blue so I like 'em)

These shoes fit great and are very comfortable. I actually love them, the only issue I had is they are tearing away at the eyelids at the bottom of the shoelaces. This started at about a month after I had them.

Comfortable out-of-the-box. Great support and grip. Effective on descent and ascent, and firm or loose surfaces.My go-to shoes.

high quality shoes, but not crazy about the looks of these, kind of like a clog...also they are a little too warm for anything other than cool days. I had a previous pair of Salewa that were lightweight and better looking and cooler.

Fits narrow( which is why I have had a pair for 10+ years)Indestructible and indispensable.

Also ich muss sagen, ich bin mit dem Schuh zufrieden.Ich habe den Schuh im Juni gekauft und muss ihn im August leider entsorgen. Ich bin einen Fernwanderweg damit gegangen und hatte sämtliche Witterungen. Der Schuh ist nicht wasserdicht oder wasserabweisend. Die Passform ist sehr gut und ich habe nie Probleme bekommen mit Blasen oder schmerzen im Fuß. Was mich etwas enttäuscht bei dem Schuh ist, dass die Sohle nicht länger hält und die Dämpfung auch jetzt schon nachlässt. Im vorderen Bereich beim schnüren wetzt sich die Schnur zum schnüren auch durch. Aber trotzdem war es ein sehr guter Schuh und hatte seine Aufgabe sehr gut erfüllt. Das Abnutzungsbild ist links und rechts komplett gleich.

Der Schuh passt sehr gut. Auf der Salewa Seite kann mit der Maßtabelle die optimale Grösse herausgesucht werden.Leider hat DHL die Sendung auf Irrwege geschickt. Die Sendung hat14 Tage gedauert. So gut wie die Logistik bei DHL ist wenn es funktioniert, so Katastrophal ist die Servicehotline, wenn eine Sendung falsch geleitet wird! Ich habe eine Woche hinter der Sendung mit DHL hertelefoniert.Für DHL kann der Verkäufer natürlich nichts.

Habe diesen Schuh auf Grund einer Empfehlung eines YouTubers gekauft. Der Schuh ist Top !Meine Erwartungen wurden mehr als erfüllt. Allerdings sollte der Schuh immer eine Grösse mehr überder normalen Schuhgrösse bestellt werden. Habe schon ewig Gr. 43 und kann Schuhe damit fast blind bestellen, diesen Schuh musste ich allerdings zurücksenden, wurde sehr schnell umgetauscht in Gr. 44 und passt nun perfekt.Klarer Daumen hoch für dieses Produkt.

Die Schuhe sind pünktlich wurden geliefert. Angezogen und wohl sofort gefühlt. Schuh sitzt straff und mit der variablen Schnürung lässt sich das noch gut anpassen. Zusätzliche gibt's noch Einlegesohlen zum verändern des Tragegefühls. Am selben Abend noch 10km gewandert und für gut befunden. Jetzt, nach ein paar Tagen, bin ich wirklich begeistert.
