no luck!
I haven't had any luck with this at all and struggle to see how it works effectively as the space between the two legs is quite narrow and may put any mole off going through it to trigger the trap. Had it for a month or so and nothing. Have resorted to using the standard metal tunnel mole trap with a mechanism at both ends and had more success with that. The mole tunnels I have in my garden are just below the grass thatch and are visible by a slight raised level going in a haphazard line across my lawn. They are only about 4 to 6 inches below the surface.I think this trap might be more suited to moles that use a deeper tunnel and then push up the mound of soil to the surface.

A must for mole catchers
Brilliant easy to set mole catcher. Best thing is you don’t need a big hole.

Please read -It wont work for the Mole SWISSINNO Trap .
I'm sure this device will work with certain products but it wont work with the SWISSINNO larger mole trap device as the diameter of the hole maker is much smaller than the diameter required to fit the mole trap once set.The product seems well made but I can only assume its designed for smaller traps. On a positive note the mole traps themselves are brilliant. I caught 2 moles with 24hrs once set.

only works on under turf mole tunnels
only a small garden with one or two fresh molehills each day. bought this hoping to catch the little dude. the instuctions state that this trap will work when placed into mole tunnels that are just below the surface. my mole only burrowed straight down. tried it anyway by putting it into the opening when the molehill is removed. it just gets filled with soil and pushed out. no moles were trapped, although it does do a good job on fingers.bought some poison from ebay. no more mole

Poor Quality
I only used this once.It started to rust, and the spring was so weak that it would not close the trap effectively.I wouldn't use it again as it would only have wounded the mole and not kill it humanely!

Easy set up...
Ordered yesterday, delivered today and set up this evening. Not in position for anymore than 2 hours and went to check it prior to letting the dogs out. Sadly, but pleased it worked...I cannot understand why some find it hard to get results. All you do is locate a mole tunnel (look for raised grass mounds) dig into the run and position it so the mole can walk into and activate the trigger mechanism.Works very well.. made strong and should last.....Sitting in my chair I feel pleased but sad that it had came to this... If he'd made his home 10ft the otherside of my garden then we could both of grown old together.... Not now.....

Don't bother!!
I bought this in the vain hope that I could catch the almost blind, shovel footed beast that was tearing up my lawn. I got all excited when it arrived, and after reading the instructions I went out to put it to work. Now, I had read and inwardly digested said instructions and followed them to the absolute letter. You might think, "Well what could possibly go wrong?" The first thing that went wrong was that when I prepared the ground to set this baby up, every time ( and there were quite a few of them, believe me) the stupid thing kept going off. By "going off" I mean it closed with a rather good bang....well not an actual bang, but I'm sure you get the gist. FINALLY, I got it to stay open in the correct position so I put back the earth as per instructions. I went back into the house full of hope that the velvety beast of the lawn would be no more. Oh how wrong I was! I kept checking it....for 3 long days I checked it at intervals, but Mr Velvet Shovel-Foot decided that he'd go around the catch him, finish him device and make tunnels and hillocks elsewhere instead. You might say it was "User error" and trust me, I doubted myself. However when I decided to remove the catch him, finish him device, it had in fact done as it says on the box and had "gone off". I tried again in a few of Mr Velvet Shovel-Foot's other abodes and the same thing happened. So, said contraption no resides in the garage surplus to requirements and Mr Velvet Shovel-Foot lives to make more tunnels and hillocks for many more days and my once beautiful lawn resembles a green bouncy sponge.
