Weber Susan Scheewe 2-Hour Painting DVD, Acrylic Techniques

I only gave it 4 stars because i haven't been able to do a painting from it yet, as i have had hand surgery and can't paint yet. i have however watched the Dvd and took notes of a few things such as supplies and what certain mediums do to help your painting. Over all for a first time DVD into painting i would say it was a very good start.

I like this product and I can follow her instructions if I make myself to do it. I do not know of anything that is bad about her training it is up to me to learn.

I was looking for something a little bit more advanced. Pretty simple stuff actually. I want to learn painting techniques, not paint on pots. I am not into crafts. She seemed very rushed. I think the little girl in the video was completely distracting, not sure why she was there (and I am a grandma and considers little girls cute and all and everyone should have fun painting, etc., etc., I just didn't get why shy was there.)

Video was adequate. Sometimes I had trouble understanding what she said. Seemed a little disorganized. I liked the tutorial on painting clay pots.

She uses a water technique with her acrylics. Not as helpful to artists using acrylics straight out of the tube.

I've been a fan of Susan Scheewe for a long time, love her work and watch her show all the time. This DVD was for my 14 y/o granddaughter who is the artist of the family. She loves painting and I knew this DVD will help her with het techniques. Really great video, easy to follow, colorful and fun.

I have watched Sue a few times on the Create Channel on TV but was so nice to have my own DVD so I could stop and start at will. I am a beginner and she is so thorough in her explanations. The best I have found so far with her demos. Thanks Sue!

A fun dvd to watch and learn. Susan makes it look easy and the techniques are easy to learn and fun.
