Looks fantastic in our hallway! We had received one that was an extra from my MIL, and needed a second to match so that we could use them in our hallway. This matched the earlier one perfectly and is a great look for our 8’ ceilings. The reason for only four stars is that the instructions and parts bag are lackluster - inconsistent parts included, useless directions. We know how to install lights though, and had plenty of spare screws and such around the house, so we were able to handle installation just fine. Also, the first fixture we received had a short internally. The seller was awesome though, and immediately shipped out a replacement and return label, and the replacement worked just fine. Also, we’ve found these sort of inconsistencies with other nice brands anyway. Overall, very happy!

This is exactly what I was looking for my kitchen. I was finding them at other locations for a much higher price. Also, the ones that I found all had a cheap plastic-looking cover/light diffuser at the bottom. This one is glass and the light comes through beautifully. The color is a true bronze/not shiny looking. The shade itself is not so light that it will show off dust. I've had this lamp for years and still looks like new. We decided to purchase this fixture for our entry hallway. We have regular height ceilings (7ft.) and wanted to replace a flush mounted light. This light does not hang down too far to be in the way. It is just the right length and has a very attractive light shade. This a beautiful new addition to our 1940's Cape Cod! The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is that my husband and father in law had to find different screws to attach it to the light box inside the ceiling. The ones that came with the light were too short. This will only be a problem for some, so it is a minor issue that we were able to solve without any other problems. Great price for a great light!!

We love this light fixture. We've spent hours looking for the perfect fixture for our entry and bought another we didn't like and returned. My favorites were all in the +$500 category, so I "settled" on this one to save some money. Husband installed it quickly and easily. He said the directions were lacking, but that it was easy to install and that the quality was good (especially for the money). The light it puts off in the foyer is soft and beautiful. It gives the area a sophisticated, clean feel. Don't love the seam, but I knew that would be a given. So happy with how this transforms the space.

Nice lamp once it is installed. The design of putting it up with the free floating screws through the lamp base is so ridiculous it was hard to wrap my mind around it. Then the screws that go through to the decorative bulb nuts are too long. Instructions are really poor. We worked around the screws being too long by getting four other regular nuts and putting one on each side of the mounting bracket of the long free floating screws to adjust the length and to have somthing to push against when putting on the decorative final nut. There are probably other better ways. It was the second hardest of seven lamps we have put in. The hardest lamp had too short of a wire to tie to the house line. For this lamp it took about two and a half hours to install. We took a short break to eat and regain sanity. Putting the lamp shade on was also hard. It wouldn't slide on the post unless it was unscrewed so the nipple was showing about an inch then it could be slid on. Wow we won't be buying Capital Lighting again!

I was looking for a ceiling light for the entry way of my home that would match the other "linen" style shades throughout the rest of the house. Although the details were simply a single page of instructions - I was able to have the light installed and functioning in about 45 minutes.The only downside is the quality of the shade. It's a little "rough". I was looking for something a bit more finished. However - for the price, it's a great unit.

We bought two of these, about a year apart. The first one I would rate a perfect 5. Very nice fixture, well-priced. The second one we bought, the glass light diffuser that fits into the bottom of the fixture didn't fit right. We were offered a replacement fixture, and it was slightly better, but still not as nice as the first one we bought. Hence, I lowered the rating a little.

We hung this off our kitchen in what should be an eat-in area. It was lacking light and this fills the space nicely. My only complaint is there looks to be a slight gap at the bottom where the (Plastic?) disc meets the fabric shade. Other than that, it's very nice looking and really brightens the room.
