Meets or Exceeds Moderate Expectations for an Inexpensive Bag
For this price, I was expecting a very lightweight bag to serve as an interim container for keys, phone, etc., during winter and early spring rides as I return to cycling on a new bike received for Christmas after several decades not riding. "Don't expect much," I thought, "get something to tide you over until the warmer weather and a more capable handlebar bag." I'm carrying a spare tube and tools and such in a small underseat saddle bag, not in the handlebar bag.Well, right out of the carton, I was surprised. From the online pictures, I was expecting some really lightweight ripstop for the blue panels and a thin poly or nylon canvas material for the black. The bag material is much more sturdy than expected, with a nylon(?) lining, thin foam padding (in the lid) and an interior stiffener to help hold its shape. The main compartment opens towards the rider. The size and hang configuration is about what I expected, and meets my hope that it would contain my packable windbreaker/rain jacket (see photo 1 below). The top external elastic straps can hold a folded map, and the side pockets an assortment of wallet, key, phone, sunblock, and more. You might pop a power bar or something in the handy mesh front pocket. There's a functional shoulder strap included for off-bike usage. It is supposedly water-resistant (I haven't tested this). The bag doesn't obscure my headlight. There are some reflective highlights. It's a sporty shade of blue, lively and modern (supposedly there's a gray version also). I wouldn't be packing for a long tour, but this'll more than serve for the early-year riding I expect to be doing. It might be durable enough to work out even longer. And, it has some style flair to it to go with the new bike. For all my pleasant surprise, not everything is clear sailing, as can be expected by a bag of this pricepoint and style:(1) it attaches, typically for an inexpensive bag, by means of three velcro straps (2 handlebar, 1 headtube or stem). This limits total weight that can be carried; I have no issue with that, but potential buyers should be aware. I popped a heavy lock (temporarily - I'm not going to carry it in this bag) and some other hefty goodies into the bag to see how much it static-sagged with some weight (see photo 2 below); it's possible, in my prelim assessment, to carry a small daily items load-- you don't want to strain the straps or seams. I wouldn't suggest putting water bottles in it as some posters have asked. The velcro appears both stitched and glued to the bag, but I expect frequently installing/removing (along with heavier loads) would make them a potential failure point; I plan to use the bag with minimal removal actions (some sort of quick-release cinch straps in a "Version 2" bag would be nice). A number of online reviewers mentioned the bag tilts down (so that opening the main zipper could cause contents to fall out); I suspect this would most likely be a result of that 3rd strap being relatively too short or too tight; such a strap would pull the bottom of the bag rearwards. I think the purpose of the 3rd strap is mostly to keep the bag from flopping up when going over bumps (gravity should hold it properly vertical, and on my bike it does hang well). At least one product picture shows the headtube strap around the shifter/brake cables; I don't think that's probably a good idea. I've MacGyvered the situation by utilizing my own velcro straps looped to provide a stem offset while offering an anchor point to the bag's strap; this should keep the bag from flopping. For myself, as a returning rider who is not (yet) quite as rock-steady, balance-wise, as I was 30 years ago, a compact lighter rather than a heavier bag on the bars is a good thing.(2) The zippers appear to be ok, but not something you'd get from a top quality source. I'll put some zipper ease or something on them, treat them nicely, and hope for the best. On a higher-end bag, I'd prefer a two-pulltab zipper for the main compartment; this one is fine for now.(3) The stitching isn't perfect and is probably not long-term-robust (another caution against excess weight). I'm ok with this for the price, but will attempt to epoxy or otherwise strengthen a couple of minor spots where the stitching looks odd or mangled.Of course, with the persistent arctic weather on the east coast, I have only ridden around the neighborhood, so these are my first impressions. I don't expect many surprises. "Your mileage may vary," but - considering the price, I think this is a decent bag for moderate needs. If that sounds condescending, it's not meant to be - I like this bag (and have thus taken the time for this review), and it works for me now. I have a "prepare thoroughly" mindset which implies a lot in my EDC kit; maybe hauling a lot of stuff around with me as I did 30 years ago isn't the way to ride anymore. That's something to think about.

Great bag! Fits Drop Bars Nicely!
Just got this today and I really love the shape of the bag and the size. I was looking for something other than a big, bulky rectangular shaped handle bar bag. I just don't like how they look on the front of a bike. I have a small seat pack, but the seat pack is not big enough for bananas or a rain coat or sunscreen, etc. This bag is the perfect size! Even though the zipper feels cheap, it was a very inexpensive bag so I guess I can't complain about that. I have a specialized road bike with drop bars and was concerned how this bag would fit the bars. It fits perfectly and looks like it is part of the bike. I included pictures. I put my water bottle in the pic just for size reference. The inside has a hard plastic lining to keep it's shape. The velcro straps are long and I will have to trim them. Overall, I love this bike bag!

Best handle bar bag at the best price!
I just received this bike bag and it is perfect for my 600 mile cycling trip of the Camino Via de la Plata, Spain, this coming spring. My road bike is small and my drop handlebars are narrow so this fits perfectly. It is big enough to hold my guile book, fruit, multi tool, patch kit, cell phone, external battery, and other necessary immediate items. Other bags were too large for my bike. This may not be fully water proof, but I will have necessary items in zip lock bags for added protection. It fastens perfectly to the bars and stem with ample Velcro. Thank you for a great product at a more than reasonable price. (Please disregard a previous review that I left here for the incorrect item). I believe this is the 4 liter bag and I wanted the 5 liter bag which was out of stock, but this is plenty big enough for my purpose.

Sturdy and nice... bigger than I expected
To be honest, I thought this bag would be a bit smaller. It's sort of bulky (just imo). Nonetheless, it is a wonderful bag for those who want to carry the essentials and a bit more while cycling around the city and other places. I have a foldable bike; so I needed an easy to handle bag in which I could fit everything I needed for urban riding (a small water bottle, keys, phone, ID's, wallet, my emergency meds, face mask and small snacks). It works perfectly for me and fits well on a bike like mine. I've never used it while it's raining (just through a small drizzle, and my items were perfectly dry).It is very sturdy, you won't have to worry about that; but consider what your needs are before buying cause i didn't find it as light and small as i thought. Very happy with it tho.

Used as Motorcycle Bag
As seen in the photo, I bought this bag to be attached to the crash bar on my motorcycle. A week after I bought it I set out on a two month, 11k mile cross country trip. This bag saw every type of weather, got decimated with bugs, and held on and held up for the entire trip. Obviously I reinforced the attachments and didn't just trust the velcro that comes with it, but I was still impressed when I just took the bag off today and the velcro was still going strong despite all it had been through. This bag worked amazingly for what I needed. It housed my heavy disc lock, some allen wrenches, a cargo net, and zip ties. The back is solid, so it holds its shape, which helped keep it from flopping around. I see no reason why this bag wouldn't perform well on a regular bicycle as well.Side note: In the sun 24/7, it's worth noting that the color did NOT fade. So, another plus.

Love these. I put them on my compact tractor ...
Love these. I put them on my compact tractor that lacked any storage. They spent the winter outside and still look new and are dry.

Functional and reasonably well made.
It is difficult to make a product that fits perfectly on all bicycles. This is a functional unit that will hold extra items (like lunch, rain jacket, etc.) for long rides. It is not designed for heavy items, and would be improved with heavier Velcro straps for attachment to the handle bars and frame. I can use it on my mountain bike as well as my drop bars on my road bike. In the final analysis, I have not found anything better at this price point.

Great way to carry issential biking asseccories
I try to keep things off of my rear carrier so as not to catch my leg when mounting my e-bike. This also helps to spread the weight around rather than loading up the allready loaded, motorized, rear wheel. Items are more easily accesible from this handlebar bag - just stop and reach in rather than getting off the bike to access a saddle bag or a rear bag
