Spice Islands Old Hickory Smoked Salt 4.8oz Jar (Pack of 1)

It is a true hickory taste! It is very hard to find a good flavor of hickory and not as salty as others. I have been using this salt flavor for over 60 yrs and will NEVER CHANGE. When I make my beef Jerky I always use this product. The only disadvantage is thst I have to order it on line since I cannot find it in any grocery store. They have other Spice Island spices but not the hickory salt Thank you for such a great product!!

When I was a kid, my mother used this salt on specific recipes she made, usually involving Chicken. There was a butter glaze she made while barbecuing thighs and legs, that involved butter, Worcestershire, lemon, well I won’t spill the beans, but it crusted so nicely that I had to try it again. Was thinking of it the other day, (my Mom died 33 years ago). I made it yesterday and it was almost as good as when she made it (you can never replicate the love your mom put into dishes).

Adds just a little smoke.
