Have you ever used a Carpet Stain Remver to clean the spots off your carpet only to have a bigger dark stain emerge over the next week or two. This is called rebound or boomerang staining. It happens because many products leave a sticky residue that attracts dirt to your carpet. The VeryDirtyCarpets Carpet and Upholstery Spot and Stain Remover is designed with the latest cleaning technology to prevent the chance of this occurring. When it dries, this carpet and upholstery spotter traps (encapsulates) the soiling in a polymer based non stick powder that will vacuum easily out of the carpet or upholstery. The formulation is designed by one of the USAs top laboratories and it is great at encapsulating most mobile stains in the carpet like oils, food stains, sugary foods, and fresh animal stains . It is not designed for color based stains like cordials and food dyes or set urine stains. Peter MacDonald is the Founder of VeryDIrtyCarpets, with over 20 years experience in the Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning Industry. His experiences and customer service lead him to search for a formula that gave great cleaning properties while not creating the negative side effects of rebound staining. With additional support on the website with information and frequently asked questions to help you get the most out of your product. EASY TO USE 4 STEP SYSTEM: Directions: 1 Blot stain to remove any solid soil or residue. 2 Apply a moderate amount (sparingly on upholstery) to the affected area then gently agitate into carpet with a brush. Do not scrub! 3 Blot stain with a clean white cloth to remove spot. Repeat until majority of stain is removed. 4 Vacuum when Dry.

A Great Introduction to the Product:
I admit - I haven't tried it yet as I just rec'd it yesterday. Today I rec'd a great email from this company including a guide for how to use it on every stain known to man. I have a beloved 21 year old cat and on occasion he barfs due to hair ball. I am confined to a motorized wheelchair and sometimes can't get to my toilet as quick as needed. I spill things easily because I must use my right hand to guide the control on my chair and have only my left hand to carry a drink, food, etc. All of these instructions will make my life much easier and I am impressed by their concern. After I have used it several times I will write a review based on my actual usage. Today, July 8: I just finished up with my first bottle and I have just put my next bottle into my cart. It is fantastic. Because of my limitation due to confined to a power chair, I often will spill something. The worst spill was a full 12 oz Tervis Tumbler -- filled with cherry red diet fruit punch. I had placed it on a small side table and when I turned my chair to get something else, the back wheel on my power chair caught the side table and the glass of punch went on the floor, all 12 oz. I use Tervis Tumblers so at least I don't have to worry about glass pieces. I followed the VeryDirtyCarpets instructions as I had done before. It took forever to soak up the red stuff; my carpet is a beige color and I was left with a reddish pink stain in 2 places. But it is now beige again thanks to this product. I will be using it regularly; it beats any $150 cleaning machine (which I tried last year and then got rid of it).

It Works For Old and New Stains
WOW this Carpet Stain Remover works. I have used a lot of different Spot and Stain Remover over the years. Having pets and kids you find yourself constantly sitting on the floor attempting some type of cleaner. Usually I grab an old toothbrush a washcloth and find myself sitting, spraying, scrubbing, and vacuuming just to lighten up a stain. After a day or two when it dries I see the same stain again.I have used Spot & Stain Remover over the past four days and find that the stains new and old are lifted and they are lifted forever. My daughter's room is the one I tackled first. She has a lot of tiny brown stains from one night with an upset stomach. They have been there for about 5 years. Other spot removers have made them fade only to return as soon as the carpet dries.Personally I think it is the Borax that works. I love that stuff!I also found that the smell isn't overpowering or very chemically like a lot of products I have tried in the past. Our new and old stains have literally disappeared.I sprayed enough to saturate the stain, brushed it lightly with a old toothbrush and applied a washcloth with a little pressure. The stains come away on the cloth.Below are some photos I took while using a paper towel instead of a washcloth. See how the dirt is left right on the paper towel? This is good stuff!

It works!
I, the Chief Servant of the Household, went out of town for two weeks, leaving behind my husband, four kids in college (3 sons and a daughter), and a lovely male Wheaten Terrier named Aidan. The first several days were uneventful, so one son wrote up a chore chart, which everyone ignored. Day 4, disaster occurred, which is how my carpet came into the picture. The dog threw up, and everyone refused to clean it up. They called me: Too yucky, even when reminded that I had changed all of their diapers and that was Truly Yucky at times ... and I survived. Husband isn't home YET.A few hours later, I get a phone call from him. Lo and behold! One of my three sons threw up on the carpet too! What a mess! To top it off, when the males insisted that my daughter clean it up (she is a female, and that's our job, you know), she left and spent the rest of my absence at a friend's house. Her point of view: A female didn't cause this problem, so a female isn't going to clean it up. This is a viewpoint I am adopting after tonight. So the males phone me again to tell me of this calamity of having no people with XX chromosomes around to clean up the messes. Do it yourself, I said. Look it up on the internet. Famous wasted words. The next phone call is from a son who took chemistry and remembered one important fact. He tried to stop his father from cleaning the carpet with a mixture of Clorox and ammonia. These should do the trick, Dad said, grabbing the first two cleaners he found under the sink. Son made him promise not to try this mixture until I had agreed this was the best solution. Hmmm, I dithered, what to say? Should I let them find out about the marvels of *chlorine gas*? No, too many funerals to plan and (ha ha) execute. So I saved their miserable, wimpy, unappreciative lives, and they allegedly cleaned the carpet. I got home and yes, the stuff that had been regurgitated was no longer on the carpet. But the carpet in those two areas was stiff with what had not been removed. My carpet is light-colored. The hard, large, spots of residue were dark in color. So I go to Amazon to find carpet stain remover and this product had so many good reviews that I thought maybe it will do the trick. It beats replacing carpet, that's for sure. So I used it immediately, and went through 5 cycles of spray, gently agitate area with a brush, wait a couple of minutes, blot, and do it all again until the stains are removed. I was pretty darned skeptical that this would work.AND IT DID WORK! Then I succumbed to procrastination, and didn't write this review until tonight. What brought it to mind? I am going to clean my carpets tomorrow (if it EVER comes ... perhaps doubtful due to my Procrastination Disorder) and I am on a mission to remove any stains with this product before I begin. This is the only carpet cleaner I will ever buy ... mainly because it is the only one that actually works.
