Red Solar cable

Very sturdy and well protecting solution for outdoor installation
This cabling worked great for a travel trailer solar installation and I particularly liked the ease with which I could strip the outer jacket for crimping applications. Using only a razor knife, I would only have to score the outer jacket about a millimeter or so deep all the way around then, grasping the end of the jacket and the rest of the cable between my thumbs and forefingers, I could flex the cable around and the jacket would sort of tear away the rest of the way allowing the jacket to be pulled off and the internal strands to be exposed. This worked consistently every time and I never once lost any copper strands. I would recommend purchasing both red and black 50' solar cable Bulk Black copper #10 AWG 1000 volt PV Wire with Tough XLPE insulation if you are running these where you cannot trace along the entire cable run afterward (i.e. behind walls). This way you can differentiate between the positive and negative afterward if you ever need to tap into the circuit in-line (i.e. adding breakers, fuses etc.). Other than that, you will find this cable to be the perfect candidate for your solar application (provided the gauge is sufficient to handle the output current in your design).

The cable looks good for its intended purpose
The cable looks really good. The biggest drawback I have with it is the stiffness.

Very good quality wire for doing RV solar panels
Very good quality wire for doing RV solar panels. I've actually bought two reds and two blacks. They fit very nice into the higher amp rated MPPT controllers.
