I bought two and they work perfectly! We love the timer, the heat adjustments and easy clean nonstick surface!

They shipped this to me with the protective layer of plastic still attached to EVERY surface. This is that white film that covers one side of sheet metal and is supposed to be removed during manufacturing. I tried removing it before calling Amazon, which was also no help. Also, I didn't even receive a handle with mine!

Overall, it functions well. I noticed that if the hinge side is closed quickly, it compresses the cone material, causing that part of the cone to become thinner and cook more, which can result in overcooking. To prevent this issue, you can hold the hinge with a spatula and lower it evenly. This overcoomed issue is visible in the attached photo.

We have a small bakery and inventing gluten free cones was a big deal! This cone maker worked beautifully! It did take some experimenting and practice on batter thickness, rolling technique,etc., but that was on me. Really glad I bought this!

Should be a simple piece of equipment, but even the most basic features are complete failures. 1) When you close the top, you'll notice is just a simple hinge on the back side. This means the back side of the heating plates touch before the front. The uneven plates make the waffle thin and over-done on the back side, and thick and under-done on the front side. Not only does this make the waffle completely uneven, but you can't roll it into a cone since the back side is crispy and the front is still dough. 2) The timer is just a fancy knob. It does noting. 3) Had to remove the screws on the back side to get the protective plastic film off. All the screws that hold the back plate on are stripped out. They were loose before I even started to remove them. Complete waste of money...now I'm looking for a replacement...and wondering what to do with this one... ——————- Update: The seller gave me a 100% refund. They were quick to respond, concerned about the issues I had, and offered me a full refund. Their communication and quick action is earning them an star…but I can’t give more than 2 stars because I don’t want to give the impression this item is worthy.

Came out of the box and looked like it was Used. The white “paint” was peeling off in a few places. I used once and made a dozen cones. Each one was very dark on half of the cone and almost white on the other half. Cooks unevenly. I am sending it back. This makes me think that it was a used machine that was already returned.
