I have other stainless straws but these are my first collapsible. I like these better than the ones I have because of the larger overall diameter. The length is just fine with a 30 oz. Yeti and the diameter is adequate for a smoothie. I anticipated a compromise in use from air leaking at the seams and expected metal on metal grinding when fully extending. There’s none of that. I’m guessing there’s a bushing or o-ring at each section preventing that but I’m not willing to dissect mine to find out! The quality of the straw, case, key ring, carabiner are all better quality than expected. The two brushes also telescope so you can carry them inside the straw. While adequate for on the go, they’re kind of sparce. I clean mine at home with a better brush. I of course washed them before use and there’s zero metal taste. Taking heed of reviewers who lost theirs from the bottom unscrewing (that it does is a nice touch for periodic cleaning) I applied Loctite Blue to the bottom threads and I haven’t had an issue. Being stainless, they do conduct heat/cold and it would be nice if they came with a silicone tip. I added one from the handful I got with my first stainless straws and cut it down so it fits when collapsed inside the case. I keep one in my golf bag so I won’t have to use styrofoam and a plastic straw each round. I keep the other in my car and feel good about not using a plastic straw each time I hit a drive thru. The case fits easily in my pocket when dining out. I’m sure these won’t last forever and at the end of their service I’ll buy these again…and then find out what makes them operate so smoothly and efficiently.

I bought one set and gave one of those two straws to a friend. We both loved them so much that I bought another set for us to split. We both find cold drinks wonderfully cold when using these straws. They are also easy to take when eating out, and we feel good about keeping a few more plastic straws out of the trash. The clip is great for keeping the straw from getting lost in a purse or bag. We decided we wanted second straws, so I bought another set. We plan to use the second straws at home, especially since drinking with a straw is better for your teeth [less staining from coffee or tea, for example]. The cleaning brush is a great bonus, and the case is well made and easy to clean. We love the rose gold! The only negative is that the cleaning brush can easily get bent at the neck of the brush where it connects to the handle. Now, when putting it away, put the brush in the straw before collapsing them and push from the thick end of the brush to close them up. I also leave the brush at home as I won't be cleaning the straw in the restaurant anyway. All in all, these are great straws -- strong, well-made, convenient, easy to use -- that I will use for years!

This is a neat lil product. However it has its flaws. First thing I noticed is that it doesn't fully seal when extended which means its not good for thick liquids like smoothies and milkshakes. Next thing is it wont fully dry inside the case because it lacks trough and trough airflow due to the cap and the cleaning tool, although the bottom cap has a small hole in it you'll have to let it fully dry extended out the case. Next, if you wear it on a book bag or purse it tends to slowly unscrew itself loose from the momentum of the bad moving so i suggest you screw the top on really tight. Lastly, when you wash it especially with soap make sure you extend and close it a few times under the water because soap gets stuck in between the pieces, so you will get a taste of soap with your next use. Although this item has these inconveniences I still give it a 4 start rating because It gives me an alternative to plastic straws and therefore I can deal with these.

I wanted to finally stop using single use plastic straws but needed something portable since I’m on the go a lot. Finally searched for “portable reusable straw” and these popped up! I really liked the color of the case (I’m not picky about how ‘accurate’ colors look in person), it brought a cleaning tube, and it’s portable! The straw itself is like those teachers wand that can stretch to go longer (if that makes sense?? I added pictures to help) and I like the option to set the length I want. So far it’s really nice to use, I usually buy medium (grande in Starbucks) drinks and the occasional large drink and it’s perfect! No awkward length or anything. I will say when you clean it the straw loses the nice “compatibility” to close. It pretty much shuts really hard and not smooth (like an ikea drawer). However, after it air drys it goes back to normal. Other than that it’s easy to clean and I haven’t tasted or smelled any left over coffee or sodas. I love it! There’s no excuse to not start using reusable straws :)

These are great straws. I already own a set of metal ones but I never use them because they’re hardly portable. But these straws solve that problem! And honestly I kind of prefer them to my first set even when I’m not going out because they don’t have that metallic taste when you use them like a lot of metal straws do. When you stretch these out straw is nearly the same length as a normal straw and it is sturdy enough that it won’t fold back down when I use it, which I was initially afraid of. Also the size of it folded up and in the case is the perfect size for my wallet if I don’t want to bring my whole purse out with me. They’re also super easy to clean with the little brush that comes with. When I’m out I stick the straw back into the case, and at home I wash the case and straw with the brush and set it out to air dry. Super easy. My only problem with the straw is that the carabiner broke after just a couple days, so I had to get another one - luckily I have a habit of collecting them so it wasn’t a problem for me.

I gave the durability two stars because one of the cleaning brushes broke. It still works but the brush head came off and it is hard to extend. I like the straw because it’s easy to clean, stretch out and use. The rubber tip allows for me to drink without metal to my teeth or not (up to your preference). I bought a different one that had the metal insulating a silicone straw and both tips were rubber and the straw did not fit into a soda can (12oz.). This one does and I definitely will buy more. I have not used it in a hot beverage yet but I’m sure will hold up nicely, just have to be careful since the liquid will remain hotter than using plastic straws. The case it comes in is nice and small, the two parts screw together and the cleaning brush fits within the straw and is very portable.

Bought for our cruise and loved it. I don't like the paper or candy straws on the ships and this was a great solution. Now I'm going to put it on my key ring so I have it to use at home. I just have to remember to tell the server, no straw please.
