It's exactly what I expected, solid, hefty. keeps good time. I love it. A bit smaller in diameter than what I remember from a pocket watch I had long ago. No issue as I carefully considered the diameter before placing the order. It has a few details other purchasers should consider as I did. The skeleton design and thin hands makes it difficult to read. It is not a watch for dim light. The Roman Numerals all face the center. That means the lower numbers, especially VI (6) are upside down for reading.My mind can handle this juxtaposition. It may be a problem for other people. The watch is very quite. My 70 year old ears can not hear the tick. The internal moving parts are very precise and visually lightweight which probably reduces sound (a vibration) and may add to the accuracy of the working parts. A large U.S. brand name department store is offering this exact watch for over $100 with a mfg. list price 4x that. Very good pricing here on Amazon. Origin as far as I can determine is it is a Swiss design, made in a Swiss owned factory, under Swiss management, ...in China. Stuhrling reports the first three facts in documents that come with the watch but never mention the country, any country. Take it for whatever it means to you. For me it means a nice watch at at great price.

This was a gift for my son. It’s pkg’d beautifully, inside and out. It’s so shiny and looks like it was very expensive, but I think the price was great. The company seems very reputable. Time will tell how it holds up. I know there’s a warranty. My son has never had a watch where you had to wind it. Haha! So showing him and watching was fun. It looks extremely expensive. Whether he wears it once or twice, I think every young man shld own a pocket watch. Great deal and beautiful.

I saw in one review where the guy finds his gaining time by a couple minutes; so far, mine seems to run a touch fast also, but not more than 2 minutes. For myself, this is pretty much a non-issue, running fast just gets ya there early. Other than that, ... I may like this watch too much. I have the wonder, if there is a watch case for this unit, might be worth it to protect it - I'm notoriously hard on things.

My husband wanted this for Christmas because when we dress nice for events and weddings he wants to be more dapper. Wow was he right. It’s just what he needed to complete his look. The best quality for the price. We got the Gold one.

This was a Valentines gift that didnt last 5 months before the winder broke rendering it useless. It was NOT over tightened or abused. This watch was given to someone very familiar with watches and old clocks, and knows how to care for them. It was only carried to church on Sunday (so maybe 20 times). Now it needs to be sent back to the company for warranty repair and who knows how that will go. Thought this would be a quality watch, but the battery powered Walmart specials last longer than this. How disappointing!

Well, I love the look of this watch. It's a very flashy look with a hint of class. Showing younger people how the inside of a pocket watch looks is always fun thing. The major issue I have for it is. It gains time to fast. In a 12hr time frame. I gain 2 mins. Also a pain to set the time as the second hand continues to move and does not stop, even when it's run out of spring. ( time has stopped.)

I bought this watch because I recently decided that I wanted a pocket watch. I decided to search Amazon for their available choices and picked this one because it was only moderately pricey and I liked the way it looked. I used it for a couple days and every time I pulled it out of my pocked to check the time it was displaying the wrong time. I found that the stem does not lock into place and it kept getting pulled out and the hands would move. If the stem was lockable I would have rated this product 5 stars. But as it is I found it was too easy for the stem to be activated and move the hands while it was in my pants pocket. If you plan to wear this watch with a vest, you may not have the same problem that I did.

I have this piece for a while and it currently sits on my office desk. I wind the watch every morning and it keeps great time. Its a sharp looking watch with a open face and back. Like all my Stuhrling pieces they come well packaged and presented. A good Amazon purchase

Bought this as a gift. The receiver hasn't taken it off. The pictures here really don't do the watch the justice they could though. The packaging adds a real touch of class, especially when it is being given as a gift. Absolutely beautiful is the best way to sum this watch up
