Redrock Cold Air Intake Compatible for 03-08 5.7L RAM 1500

Easy to install. only had to modify the wiring harness, added little over an inch. Simple splice. otherwise easy install. I love the sound, better gas mileage. Noticeable power increase. I love it.

Pain to install and does not fit perfectly. Sounds great and looks ok. Install took around 30 mins.Overall I would recommendTruck feels a little more responsive

I'm still rebuilding my 04 1500 with the 5.7L so I don't know on sound or milage. I will say that with the instructions it was very easy to install. I was pleased to see the new hardware bolted to where the original air intake was so the job looked rather professional when done. My advise is to take a wire wheel or rough sand paper and lightly scratch the surface where the filter and intake coupling clamps on for a better grip, or the rubber slides off of the smooth intake tube. My intake tube was bent at the edge from shipping, but it came out easily with a plastic mallet. Glad I spent the extra money because it did line up well with my engine.

the rubber collar on the filter ripped and fell off...tried to get a replacement, but never did...ended up buying a universal k and n replacement at walmart for $30.,problem solved..at my expense...

Ordered this for a 2004 Ram 2500 with a 5.7l Hemi. Overall impressed with the build and finish of the kit. It comes with a two page instruction manual that was easy to understand and had pictures for each step. I can't comment on the long term durability, but the heat shield felt identical to a K&N kit I previously installed on another pickup, and the intake tube itself felt sturdy with a decent chrome like finish. Do expect some fitment issues between attaching to the throttle body and anchoring to the heat shield. The bracked on the intake tube can easily be bent to mitigate that headache. I would reccomend this to anyone wanting an aftermarket intake without spending $300+.
