Comprehensive
If you ARE looking for a book full of pictures for ideas then this may be a disappointment, but if you are wanting to learn a lot about the whats, whys, and how tos of making jewelry with beads then this is a great book! It gives much info in a neat and orderly way going step by step thru many types of beading. It explains well, yet simply about the different mediums you can use to string beads ON.I'd recommend reading it all the way thru, THEN going back when you're ready to purchase supplies and again when you're ready to create!I'm a real novice and am at the stage where I have many off the supplies but may have gotten the wrong sizes crimp beads to actually get started with stringing...BUT, I have what I need to start using them in wire wrapping which is my primary interest anyway...Anyway, great book, especially for the price! Lots of helpful easily understood information!

Very beginner oriented
While I’m sure this will help someone thinking of beading as a hobby, there’s no details about stitches that need to be learned such as peyote, brick stitch, right angle weave, etc. this book is very basic, I’m m glad I didn’t spend money on it.

Easy-to-use, very informative for everyone that wants a good hobby!
I really like the help I received, there was nothing I didn't like about this book. I would like to see more pictures like that in the book.

poor instruction
This book has theoretical and design instruction, not instruction on any techniques. There are a fair number of photographs, but they are almost all of finished products, not helpful pictures of the techniques necessary. There are poor definitions of the items used, no pictures of work in progress, and, worst of all, some of the instructions are not even particularly effective. The advice on making a basic stretch bracelet tells you to (and I quote directly here): "Tie a square not in the two ends of the elastic," with a blatant typographical error of the kind that grammar-check might have caught, but basic spell-check will not. (Elsewhere it tells you to "But a drop of glue" on something: same issue.) This book is the kind of overview that you give when you report on something for school, not a helpful instruction book. The pictures are all black and white.

Very basic
I didn't like any of the projects. I was hoping to learn something new or get some inspiration, but unfortunately, it didn't.

As the title says...
Pretty much what its title says. Aimed at the beginner crafter level, some useful information but if one wants to make higher quality beaded jewelry one will have to go to good teachers and publications. And use quality materials. I don't want to be unkind to an honest effort, but this is written by a novice with a few elementary lessons who is passing along what she knows. I read it in just under an hour, nothing new to me and nothing my nearby elementary school age kids would find very challenging. Advice to author: Keep learning and when you have something real to contribute I'll be happy to try your next publication. Mastery? Um, no. Not in this one day.
