Just what I needed!

Great little valve
This valve surprised me. I used other valves and they quit after just a couple of months with only a 10 second use about every hour or so. This one though, has been working for 2 months and doesn't get hot. Also, some reviews said, if you need it to seal tight after it shuts off, it won't seal all the way. Well, mine does seal all the way, so that's a big plus. For the money, can't be beat, a 5 star item for sure.

They are not heat resistant
I have used these 4 times to release compression on an internal combustion engine. They work great for that application. But the last time I mounted the valve too close to the exhaust manifold and it melted the internal bonding and the coil fell off. To properly there must be at least 4 inches away from the exhaust port and coupled with 1/4 inch compression fittings and copper tubing.

This little valve seems to be built very well. Not sure exactly how much it weighs but has a heavy duty feel to it. I've not put it to use yet but believe it will hold up for a long time.

Good value
We used this in tandem with a float switch in our maple sugar boil pan. It worked flawlessly and we felt it was an excellent value.

This is Hot... melts plastic!
I didn't really take heed of the reviews.Well... let me just say you might want to. This was for an enclosed area. After 30 minutes it was to hot to touch and plastic was melting!Testing some others which appear to run cooler.

good little valve
valve works. if valve is stuck open, try rinsing the canals backwards..... basically if dirt is stuck on the valve it will not close properly.

Good valve
Actuates quickly. Makes small noise when powered, as expected. If powered continuously, can get warm. Overall great product.

The solenoid gets hot if left in 'open' position for an extended period of time.
The solenoid valve works great and is built with solid parts. That being said if you leave it the valve on open for an extended period of time it gets pretty hot. Other than that it's great.
