Chartreuse Organic Tea Dandelion Detox Organic Loose Leaf Herbal Tea, 1.8 Ounce Tin

This is a good quality loose tea. I bought it for health reasons so the taste was not that important. It tastes good enough - it's just a little green tasting for me. But the taste is okay. The tea seems very fresh and clean. I was pleased with it.

Let me start by saying that I am not a fan of most teas. I bought this and 2 other Dandelion drinks because a cycle of Creatine protein caused a huge (40 lb), rapid (2 week), water retention. You read that right... I put on 40 lbs of water weight in 2 weeks. I blew up like a balloon!Creatine is used by athletes for explosive power and fast recovery, but it rapidly degrades into the kidney foe Creatinine. After trying and failing with just about every other (natural) means of stimulating kidney function, I decided to try the lowly Dandelion. Since I don't use flavorings in my drinks (no sugar, cream, etc), this was a true taste test for each of the 3 products I purchased.To my surprise, the two other Dandelion products were very unpleasant to consume. They tasted almost medicinal, and a highly rated coffee substitute caused an allergic reaction! Chartreuse Dandelion Detox, on the other hand, was absolutely fresh and delicious - even when brewed super strong.Best of all, I began losing water weight the first day I drank this tea. In fact, I'VE LOST 5.5 LBS IN 7 DAYS!!! To get these results, I brewed a strong pot of tea everyday (2 tablespoons of tea, in 24 ounces of hot water, steeped for 10 minutes) and drastically reduced the amount of protein in my diet. My overworked kidneys are now happily plowing through the backlog. I'm sure my liver is in tip-top shape too, because this ingenious little tea contains both the leaves and the root of the Dandelion. Win - Win - Win!

If you loved to make and/or eat mudpies as a child, then maybe you'll enjoy this tea. It honestly has no aroma and tastes alot like dirt. My tin went into the trash.

I have only made this a few times, as my favourite is green tea. However, the dandelion tea is delicious, so this morning I put both into my tea cup together. It seems to be a mild diuretic, which is what I bought it for. I have used dandelion root tea before for its liver support and cleansing, and as this tea also contains the root, besides the leaf, I get both advantages in one. I bought two cannisters of this tea, and will use them both as I do like it.

Dandelion tea is generally effective for detox, and that's why I ordered this. I can now concur with other reviewers here who've raved about this tea. The leaves are amazingly tender. The taste is subtle and excellent. The quality of this tea is superior to many, and that's what makes all the difference.Prior to trying Chartreuse, I'd been using a bagged organic dandelion tea which was a little less costly. I drank that tea as a duty, because it was "good for me," and I actually didn't mind it. This tea, however, is a big improvement. Who knew that one could enjoy a delicious tea while also doing some detox?!FYI, as a bonus for my house plants, I add these spent tea leaves to the plant dirt as mulch.

Root tea but it was actually pretty decent. It definitely helped flush my system out. I wasn't running every 5 minutes to the bathroom but Iwas going more frequently. I will be buying more soon.

I like the elegant container it is stored in, delivery was good and it is a very healthy and proper herbal tea that is great for the kidneys and bladder. The only other thing I suppose I could ask for is for the tiny strainers (forgot the proper name) to be a bonus along with the tea. :)

I got this for colitis and hot flashes. So far this is working for me. No more pills which is great for my liver.
