Does it, or does it not work with the 2.0x teleconverter? Ive read online thy it doesnt? But yet ive seen reviews and even comments that it does work?

It works Sony 2x teleconverter, but it's pretty useless with around a f/12.6 aperture afterwards and the autofocus is very slow with it on.

What camera bag do you use to carry/transport this lens? Is the bag spacious enough and have enough padding to protect contents of the bag? Thx.

Ape case makes a nice, large lens bag. Look for the yellow interior. It only has room for the lens and camera though. No accessories. I personally bought a Tenba bag. It fits the lens and camera easily but also has a zippered storage area for flash, batteries, cards, filters. I can't remember where I bought it. It is a little bigger than a lens case but you can put everything you need in it and it is compact.
