The best purchase I’ve made in years!
First, I would like to start off by saying that I am not someone who writes reviews. This mill however, is hands down the best purchase I’ve made in years. I use the mill at least 3 times a week, and apart from my 1950s O’keefe and Merrit stove and my Le Creuset Dutch ovens, it is my favorite thing in my kitchen. What do these things have in common? They are work horses that are built to last and preform beautifully. The only drawback I see, is that I now eat a lot more bread.1. It is easy to use!2. There is virtually no clean up required!3. It makes wonderful flour!4. It is beautiful and well built! Is it pricey, yes. But given how often I use it, how well it works, and the fact that it has a 12 year warranty, I am more than happy to have spent the money. FYI, I was able to save $150 by opening a Amazon credit account that I promptly paid off. This is my first mill, so unfortunately I can’t offer any comparisons, but to me it is truly a thing of wonder!

Worth the money.
Although this mill is very expensive, much more so than the Nutrimill, it is well worth the price we paid. My wife and I selected this mill after searching the market for the most effective grain mill. We use this at least twice weekly to make homemade bread from whole wheat berries and have used it to grind whole corn kernels for corn meal. At the finer settings, the stones plates inside begin to grind a little, so we have to set it at a coarser setting and bring it once then grind it on a fine setting. The flour will not be powdery fine, but we have made some wonderful bread from it! It helps to sift out the bran with a fine sieve if you want finer flour. In the end, the nice wooden design and the 12 year warranty sold us. Worth every penny!

I love the mill and am happy to be able to make my own flour for bread without much hassle.
The grain mill is very nice looking. I have used it primarily to grind hard red winter wheat berries into a fine flour to bake bread. I don't have any experience milling, but the operation of the mill is quite simple. Remove lid, turn on, pour grains in and get flour. The flour comes out instantly, and so you can't really use the same container for the wheat berries and the flour, since by the time you get the container under the spout, it has already dumped flour on the counter.Don't pour the wheat berries in before turning on as you will wind up jamming the mechanism, in which case you need to turn the hopper to a coarse grain to unjam. The flour comes out rather warm. I thought it would be cooler. But, this can be compensated for either by refrigerating the wheat berries before grinding, or if you are making the dough immediately, just put the bowl of water under the spout and have the milled flour mix right into the water. That cools off the grain and warms up the water for a nice environment for your yeast.Mostly, I use the finest setting. I've ground spelt, rice, and rye as well, all with great results. The mill also runs loud. You can listen to it on various video reviews. I've gotten used to it, as I did with our blender. I also stick a tea bag into the spout, which was recommended to avoid grain moths laying eggs in the bits of flour that remain in the spout after grinding.Based on what I have read, one of the single best features of the mill is that you don't have to take it apart for cleaning and you don't have to scrape out canister to remove the flour. It just pours into the mixing bowl, beautifully. I use a large but shallow wooden salad bowl if I am grinding 500 grams of flour for my Tartine basic country loaf. Just weigh the berries and get grinding.

Incredible Grain Mill
This grain mill was on display at a food show in Anaheim. It immediately caught my eye. It is the next generation of the Tribest Wolfgang grain mill and very solid. It made a very fine flour from wheat and barley. I couldn't resist and bought one for my home.
