Likely the best finger/fretboard oil I've used.
This oil is thin, transfers easily to a soft cloth. It is also helpful in removing dirt from the fretboard, which can be seen on the cloth. The oil wipes on easily to the wood and is absorbed relatively quickly into rosewood, mahogany. Although I have no maple fretboards, I'm sure this oil would work well on maple too. This oil helps to keep the fingerboard relatively moist, reducing some dependency in humidifiers in very dry climates (desert or high altitude) to prevent wood shrinkage and subsequent fret edge exposure which is not a good feeling when you're changing positions rapidly, moving up and down the fret board. A little bit goes a long way and is long lasting. For the price, I have a new favorite fingerboard oil. I use it on my electric guitars (Jackson, Ibanez), electric bass (Ibanez), classical guitar (custom built by luthier, worth over $5000), flamenco guitar, and my ukulele and mandolin.

Great product
Two uses for me . 1. I use it to oil my Fender Stratocasters fretboard once every couple years, when I clean the neck real good with Ronsonol and then apply this product, rubbing it into the fretboard with towel. 2. I also use it often by dabbing a bit on my hand and slide it all over the back of guitar neck and strings to slick up the feel of the neck before a gig. Works like a charm as they used to say in the old days.

The right stuff.
Works well, nice sturdy bottle, zero odor, zero solvents. Of course it’s basicaly just food grade mineral oil like can be bought by the pint or quart at the hardware store for conditioning butcher blocks and cutting boards, but I don’t really want a giant bottle of oil in my guitar kit. This stuff will not strip the pigments and natural oils out of the wood like lem-oil or naptha products do - just provides some protection and a nice sheen. Lasts a long time between applications, doesn’t gunk up the strings or make them squeaky, no complaints. This tiny bottle is enough for years of use.

Great oil and value for guitar fret boards
I have tried every oil and fret board treatment available. Through testing, I have come to use two (2) oils on guitar fret boards; the Roche Thomas Finger Oil here, and the oil sold by Fret Doctor. Don't know why, but sometimes one seems to penetrate better than the other. And each of these penetrate and seem to last longer than any and all the other oils I have tried.

Good Fretboard Conditioner
Not much to say except that this is a very good conditioner for guitar fretboards (ebony or rosewood). Doesn't cause build-up and is safe for the frets ... as with any such product, no need to use this more than once a year or so to keep the fretboard clean and conditioned ...

Fine finishing oil for ebony.
Wanted to put finish back on scratch I sanded out of ebony fingerboard on cello. Grain was showing and area was dull. In10 seconds this oil brought the sanded area back to beautiful hand finished look. Can't even tell I sanded at all. Fine oil here!

If this is just mineral oil...
If this is just mineral oil I'll be &%$!. A quart of mineral oil is $. An ounce of this stuff is $$$$. Do your research. Otherwise it's great!
