My cat is finicky. Lotus Venison is the only canned food she will eat.It has plenty of moist broth, which helps.Just be sure to remove the white membrane in there before feeding the Venison to your cat. What is that white membrane? Intestine?

I was looking for a venison-based wet food for my cat and tried this one. My finicky cat liked the taste and ate well.The food is very wet, with almost a soup-like consistency, so it was a bit messy at times, but anything for my furbaby.

My cats love this food. It's good quality, every can smells good when opened. Satisfied.

My cat has been Eating the 5.3 ounce cans for years. I decided to get smaller cans for better manageability for my pet sitter. She/cat will not touch it! It even looks a little different. I don’t get it. Waste of money. I can open the can and It can sit out all day and it is not touched at all.I don’t understand the inconsistencies in this manufacturers products. Unfortunately, ineligible for return or replacement. Waste of money!

One of my cats has developed allergies to the proteins in his regular food so I have had to switch to duck, rabbit, kangaroo (yes! a Canadian pet food company actually makes kangaroo food for cats) and/or venison. I thought venison stew sounded pretty tasty, but what do I know? I'm not a cat. The kitty with allergies will not go near it, so I thought OK, no biggie, the other 3 cats will eventually finish it. Nope. They won't touch it either. One sniff and they walk away. So glad I wasted almost $70 on this.UPDATE: A second cat might have developed allergies (poor kitty was having awful diarrhea). When I brought him home after his abdominal ultrasound (which showed evidence of an inflamed pancreas) he was starving, so I thought why not see if he'll eat this stuff now. He devoured it! And now it's a regular part of his diet. I'm about to order another case.

Be aware!!!: Not happy with my experience I had with this company. I bought this to try cos i couldn't find it locally. All the places gives 100%money back guarantee if your pet doesn't like the food. Well I wanted to return this cos my cat only ate some but when i add this food 100% he refused to eat it and is expensive. So the options to return it was that I have to pay for a return label and if you use some food they will discount some % off it as well. In my case they want to take an extra 15% off cos the case of wet food now is open and incomplete.

Like many reviewers, my cat has an allergy to unidentified protein(s) - so he must eat proteins other than the usual catfood ingredients such as chicken, beef, tuna... So far, he has not been enthusiastic about any of the other brands and types of proteins he is allowed to eat. This is the first alternative protein catfood that he appears to really enjoy. He eats the entire can and it seems to hold him for quite a while.
