Good strap locks
Have a set of these on almost every guitar I have. Do kind of wish it was a little lower profile but these have never failed me yet.

Great locks, feel solid.
I just started playing guitar not long ago and was been told by countless people that strap locks should be one of the first things I should get for my guitar. Finally, after a close call with my guitar, I picked up a set of these. I must say I was less than enthusiastic about the idea of drilling into my guitar to install these as they old screws were a different size and I definitely didn't want to force them in and risk cracking the wood, so they sat with my guitar stuff unused for a couple weeks. Once I finally installed them though, I can say for sure that they are definitely quality locks. Installation was simple enough. You simply drill a hole, screw in the strap button, and assemble the other piece making a sandwich of washers around your strap end with a u shaped piece that holds everything together. It was a bit of a pain to get on, but acceptable for a one time deal. Past that, you simply press a button in on the strap piece to put the strap on or take it off. After using it for a good month, it has always felt very solid and never shaky, but the strap always comes off easily when you want it to.. The button is also recessed a bit so it seems unlikely you'd press it accidentally. The only problem I can imagine is the little nub that locks the strap end into strap button wearing down over time and slipping but I haven't seen any problems with it as of yet. On a minor note, the strap button you put on the guitar is also a normal shape and looks as though it would work as a standard strap button if you ever were using a different strap than the one you put the lock on. All in all, it is a great, solidly built product.

Essential for any high end guitar or active musician
Well there's quite a bit about these that I enjoy, and most of all is how quickly I installed them. Now I put these on an Ibanez, which is a Japanese guitar and is of course made to different specifications than American instruments. That being said, it seems like any guitar that has holes that are too small for this won't require too extensive or severe of a drilling. I'll update this review as I load more of these systems onto different guitars as a courtesy to anyone on the fence about how much work this might require. It's understandable to be a bit reluctant to do something as permanent as drilling a larger hole into a guitar that you consider precious, but have faith in these locks. You really won't regret the decision and I'm sure you'll be satisfied with these enough to not want to go with a different set. There are great sets out there, but I really enjoy these for the fact that it's so easy to lock and unlock these. Schaller strap locks, for instance, are great and hold things in place, but require pulling out the pin on top and sliding them off to the sides to remove them. Not too big of an effort, but still more of one then pressing the button for the same function. It's really that easy, just push the button on the top of the locks to both attach and detach these from the guitar. You'll hear a reassuring click to know that they're locked in place. The black plating on the ones I purchased is a nice semi-gloss almost satin finish, with there just being enough sheen on them for them to stand out without being too flashy. Easily polished to a high sheen if thats what you're looking for, however. These also raise the strap at least an inch off of the guitar, with is great if you have a guitar wit a softer paint type like nitrocellulose lacquer and have a strap that might conflict with it or just a rougher strap material that might rub up against it. One last comment to make is that these don't come with a small fabric washer that most guitars come with stock underneath their existing strap buttons that work as a barrier between the metal and the guitar. Assuming that your guitar has these typically black little fabric washers underneath its strap buttons, go ahead and add those between these locks and your guitar just to prevent any wood to metal contact. That's my only tip, shouldn't harm your guitar even if you decide to have the buttons right up against your wood, but for anyone that isn't willing to take any risk with it I recommend this. I did so and it hasn't had an effect on how snug you can get these to sit. All in all, anyone trying to decide on which strap locks to go with, you really don't have to look any further now that you've found these Dunlops.

Good product and design
Good product and design to make easy to put my guitar strap on and off, really easy to install and only need a drill, masking tape and watch a few videos before to avoid damaging your guitar. Some videos recommend to apply a little bit of bee wax on screws to avoid cracking the wood I used a little bit of chapstick and worked great. Fit really nicely with my guitar and screws are long enough to be secure it helps a lot to balance the guitar weight, easy to lock and unlocking the strap. Great value to the money paid.

The Only Strap Locks I’ll Ever Use
I’ve been using Jim Dunlop Straploks since 2020, and they’re now the first thing I install on every guitar I buy. I currently have 17 guitars, and every single one of them is fitted with these. The build quality is excellent - solid, reliable, and easy to fit. Once installed, they lock securely and give complete peace of mind when playing. I’ve never had a strap come loose or a guitar take a fall since switching to these. They look great, work flawlessly, and after years of use, they’ve proven to be incredibly durable. Quite simply, nothing else comes close.

reliable, secure and easy to install
I use these on all my guitars, so it's easy to use guitar straps between different instruments. They are easy to install and I've never had one slip off. I'm kind of phobic about dropping an expensive instrument, so I always rely on strap locks. There are others, but these have worked great for me. They are available in various metal finishes if that's important to ya.

Unbedingte Weiterempfehlung!

Probably the best strap lock available on the market! The push/lock system is very well made and easy to use when you need to remove it quickly without worrying about the safety of your guitar. **The only negative point that I can flag is about the installation. The ''C clamp lock'' are very difficult to place and if your strap is not thin as mine was, it will be a lot more difficult. You have to take your time and do it well. In my case, I used a plate screw driver to help pushing the C clamp and it did the job pretty well. Once it installed, I guarantee that these's strap lock are the best you'll have for your instrument because they are solid/well made and can't loose as the C clamp is cliped there and so it don't depend on a nut screwed as some other strap lock model have. Personnaly, I have tried many model of strap lock for my guitar and these are definitely my favorite.
