Bought for use as a chain stay guard on a matte black bike frame. The thickness and form fitting qualities are good. The adhesive is too weak to hold it in place however and it curls up off the chain stay overnight. I used some spray on adhesive by Elmers... peeled off the protector and layed it flat on a shop towel spraying on a light coat... let sit for 5 minutes... sprayed on a second light coat and let sit 5 more minutes. Mounted and so far, so good.

These decals provide good, simple protection to the parts of the bike that take some inevitable abuse in the course of regular usage: brake/transmission cables rub against the headtube, patchy asphalt will cause chain-slap against the drive-side chainstay, a few other spots on the frame will get a nasty ding or dent. These decals do the job. Their plain, textured black color allows them to match just about any bike without crowding the design with clashing logos or colors.

For the price, this sticker kit is great. Make sure you use some alchohol to clean the bike surface before installing, or you might have the stickers fall off. I installed this kit on a budget bike build and the chain stay already has a few scratches in the sticker, which is exactly why I purchased the kit. Sacrifice the sticker, not the frame. I would recommend this kit if you don't want to spend more on the 3M solution.

This product works really good with great adhesion! The only thing I would recommend is to use a double layer since it is a little thin. The kit comes with plenty to use. Then trim however you want. Big bang for the buck!

Stick on like cheap stickers already peeling off after 20 min. And I haven't even rode with em on yet lots of bubbles with even careful installation
