F A Edmunds 31" Hoop & Floor Stand 16"X27" Hoop

I used this for quilting baby quilts. I did quilt one twin size quilt on it and I wouldn't suggest anything larger unless you're going to take it off the stand and quilt for tvin your lap it's just not made for that kind of weight. Overall I thought it was sturdy and was a good size for my small space I have to work in. It did fairly well with gripping the material but I have arthritis and can't turn the wing nut as much as it probably could be turned. I do like the ability to be able to have it flat or at an angle. It was fairly easy to get my hands underneath from one side to the other. I like that I could work on my blanket in the living room or bedroom, it was easy to move. It was fairly easy to put together but I didn't think the instructions were that helpful. I think it is sturdy I didn't find it to be flimsy as others have noted but I could see that being the case if larger items were being put on the hoop.

I bought this because I have always quilted by hand with a hoop in my lap. With the years being what they are, sitting for long periods hunched over just wasn't getting it anymore. This hoop and stand allow me to sit up straighter and more comfortably. It does sway a bit with a full sized quilt in it, but if you move it and the quilt carefully everything is fine, joints still tight etc. Bonus I can now watch TV easier while I quilt. Update: Still working well. Only problem is that bolts have to be tightened frequently.

it is OK for light work. But if you have more than one layer or a fabric, and if you’re fabric pieces large, this unit will not hold your item.

I put this product together with not problem. It is made of light, but durable wood. The base could be a little longer to enhance stability, but easily worked around. Overall. I love using this for hand quilting!

Shipped fast!!! This is the perfect item for any large material craft. Its large, lightweight and surprisingly sturdy. The large hoop allows for lots of the surrounding area to be visible while Im embroidering which gives me a broadernperspective than a hand held hoop. And I can work with the entire sheet of material for my quilt without the struggle of managing that much fabric in my hands and lap. I just rolled the fabric up in front in a sideways fashion then clipped it together by the leg. This made the space clear so there is nothing in the way while i stitch. The hoop can be slanted up or down so you can quickly look under with little trouble as well. The product is worth what I paid for it.

I’m not a heavy user, so this loop is perfect. It is lightweight so I can move it from place to place with ease. It breaks down so I can easily store it. It is useable in full form or with just the hoop when you need the versatility. It would not be a durable tool for heavy use.

The frames box was not completely sealed nor was the bag containing the bolts and wing nuts for assembly. My delivery person brought a wing nut to me with the box and indicated that it had slipped out from the box and he could hear other pieces rattling around inside the box. I am missing one 3/16" x 1 1/4" bolt to complete the assembly.
