Book explains in an understandable manner, but if you are a C# programmer DO NOT buy.
This book has a easy to understand writing style. I am learning C# and this book is NOT for people that want to use C#. The book says that you can use the book with C# but that is not an accurate statement. The book shows you a website to go to translate VB to C# but the website is a disaster and does not translate properly. This makes the book un-useable to C# programmers. Maybe the author can hire a real person to translate the information to C# and explain it in C#? Or simply don't say that you can use the website to translate code because it does not work when you actually do this.

Great intro to Programing for Revit
Don Rudder makes this subject understandable and interesting, even for the us non-programmer types. He and the others at Case, Inc are making wave throughout the AECO industry with their add-ins for Revit and customized programming solutions for Building Information Modeling. Keep up the good work Don.

Kindle version missing last section
Not bad, and give you a quick overview but does not get very deep.I got the Kindle version and it is missing the last section and just ends right in the middle of a paragraph

Great resource!
This book not only gives good instructions on API training, but also shows you how to work in Visual Studio efficiently. This is a great resource for anyone just starting out using Revit's API.

Commands work...but...
I was able to get all of the codes to work except the Ribbon buttons. The button works when i debug Revit, but when I run Revit normally, it does not work and I get the error message that was written in. Tried for hours to fix, rechecking code, etc.
