My husband and I both have very sensitive teeth, so straws are perhaps the fastest used item in our house, but I hate buying plastic ones that are so bad for the environment. I tried getting the silicone straws but my husband didn't like how wiggly they were (he couldn't stir the ice in his cup) and said they tasted odd, so I figured I would try these biodegradable straws out! My husband was satisfied - his straw lasted him all day, he was able to stir his ice, and there was no odd taste!I also liked those features; I have the really bad habit of biting my straw as I drink - to my surprise, my straw even lasted the day with my biting! I've always had bad luck with paper straws (between biting and trying to reuse the same straw all day), but this set really impressed me. I even accidentally left mine in my soda can (with about 1/8 of the soda still in it) overnight and I think I could actually still use the straw if I wanted to! The pictures I attached are of the straw after it's nightly stay in the soda can :)Another plus side is the fun and wide variety of colors - not super important to me, but I do like how I could use these for a party as well as everyday drinks.

I bought these for a summer event because they were cute and matched the color scheme of the event.Everyone loved them and they stood up to hours of refills without breaking apart. Recently, I left one of the straws in a glass half filled with water. Not on purpose. I had fallen asleep. Woke up and went about my morning and came home later to realize it was still on my nightstand. It had almost been 24 hours and most of the straw was still sturdy. The part in the water was a little soft but I could still drink out of it and none of it had dissolved.Once I get through the ones I have, I will order more! The bonus is no plastic waste!

Was worried they would only last about 5 min or less before they would break. However they lasted way longer and customer reuse them for multiple drinks.

Recyclable or compostable. They get soggy after an hour or so, but ok. Very effective standard paper straws. Good price. Recommend.
