Bormioli Preserving jar, 1.5l

So much nicer than the old mayo jars! They used to be carried at SurLaTable, and so glad I could find them here though it took a couple tries to get the size I was after. There is a smaller closer to 1 quart size that I initially ordered, in error, but I wound up keeping them as it was easier than sending back and such a nice quality...also came in handy as I made batches of iced tea for an ill friend to deliver...The larger size here is great for storing leftover soups etc.

I like them for storing baking soda, powder, sugar, flour, etc. They are great!

I used to make fruit liquor and is the right size for what I need .

I have an assortment of these glass jars. I make my own pickles and the liter in a half size works perfectly. I like glass so much better than plastic. Plastic holds in the smell and glass doesn’t so it is a great vessel for all types of salads.

Love my 64 oz Ball jars, but sometimes a 1.5 L (51 oz) Bormioli Rocco Quattro Stagioni is better suited for the task, as are their smaller jars compared to Ball. The gold tone twist off caps are a nice touch and fun for an occasion but they have a shorter life. The Ball Wide Mouth Plastic Storage Caps and the Pour and Store! Wide Mouth Mason Jar Flip Cap Lid With and Without Handle by County Line Kitchen (both also on Amazon) fit both jars.

I initially bought 2 of these at another retailer and that store no longer exists locally. I accidentally broke one. I love the design. These are great for tea, homemade juices, popcorn, pretzels, nuts, and chips. I have not used them for canning purposes.

Bormioli jars aren't just nice to look at .... they are very functional for pickling etc and that's why I bought them ..... I've since bought a few more

c'est le deuxième que j'achète, verre épais et travaillé, je m'en sers pour mettre ce que je reçois dans des boites, car cela est plus esthétique dans la cuisine, par exemple le premier me sert à mettre mes capsules de café au lait d'amende (dolté gusto) une boite rentre pile dans le pot. Le deuxième me sert à mettre mes sachet de "boléro" pour préparation de boisson, le tout acheté sur Amazon. Merci, satisfaite de mon achat
