Having a safety hammer in the car is a good precaution to take in case of emergency. The metal parts on this one seem strong, but the hammer itself (the handle) is lightweight. While a seatbelt would obviously be thicker and tougher, I did try the cutter on a spare rubberband and it was able to cut it in a second with no difficulty, so I know the blade is sharp. I also appreciate that it came with a holder that can be either nailed or stuck to something using the nails or adhesive that are both included. Since I am keeping mine in my car, I will likely just place it in the center console all the time, but I do like that the holder also serves as a type of "protection" barrier around the hammer so it won't cause damage to any items that might be around it in storage.

I work for a window installation company and I use the hammer on the windows we throw away daily in the dumpster. It is amazing and easy to handle. For my use a longer handle would be better. But I think it’s great.

I do not like the handle. It is not as sturdy as the head. It’s a very thin plastic so the head fills very heavy for it. I still have to test it. Report later

Nice size yet not too heavy. I've actually had a wreck whereI was stuck in the driver's seat with the passenger's seat on the ground and this would have helped. I was lucky a trooper was behind me and he busted the rear window and then cut my seatbelt. I feel better knowing I have this in the car.

It’s easy to get to when needed, it doesn’t catch in the holder and I love that it’s mountable anywhere! I’m glad I have this, and now just hoping I’ll never need it.

I haven't had a chance to use this yet thankfully but I got this for my husband's car since I already have one for my own car. This one seems much sturdier than the one I got. Definitely gives me peace of mind that it will work in an emergency!

My husband has a similar product and I wanted one for my car in case of emergency. It's sturdy & practical- and i feel confident in an emergency it would not only break open a window, but if I need to cut the seatbelt, or a belt on a carseat, I could easily do so!

I could have used this before I bought it. I hope I won’t need it in the future.
