Works Great!
I work remotely and use a mouse jiggler to keep my computer active incase I step away for a couple minutes. Well my mouse jiggler would keep my computer active even when I placed it to sleep, so I would pull it out every day after work and this became a headache just pulling out a tiny usb every night.Well this solved my issue, no more removing in and out. Simple switch now turns it off when I don’t need it active. Works great, feels like good quality and not super long as I don’t need it to be.

Works, is sturdy, great for my particular scenario
I use this to turn on and off my phone's wireless charger, which takes a microUSB connector. I tried a USB to microUSB switch meant for the Raspberry Pi, and it worked but the cooling fan on the charger never came on. So instead, I went back to the regular USB to microUSB cable and added this between the cable and the power adapter. It works like a charm. Fan comes on like it should. And if I don't want my phone to keep wireless charging, I just flip the switch instead of pulling out one side of the cable like I used to.

Works perfectly for my video conference camera
I have an external, USB connected, HD web camera I use for video conferencing while I work from home on my desktop. It doesn't have an on/off switch and I got tired of unplugging it from my USB hub when I wasn't using it (yea, I'm paranoid). I used this adapter between the camera and my hub to simply add an on/off switch and it works great. Seems to handle video conferencing data flow just fine. Nice and sturdy, quality material. Looks nice.

Works with mice
This switch DOES work for data, not just charging but will it work with your device? That depends on the device. I am using it to connect/disconnect a USB mouse and it works great for that. Fortunately it doesn't cost much so you can get one and try it with your device.I'm guessing that if you are trying to connect something that is self powered like a phone, tablet, or other computer it probably won't disconnect properly when off. Remember, ONLY the power line is switched. But KB, mice, and other stuff powered through the USB should work. You have to try it to know. The build is ok. It's plastic which is what you expect for this price. Nothing bad about it but not high end materials. I assume you weren't really expecting chrome and glass for this price.Bottom line: It was inexpensive and does the job I got it for without any problems.

Well, that didn’t last long.
Jan 21, 2021 Update: well, that didn’t last long.I purchased this item on 9/17/2020 and it already stopped working correctly. No matter what I do, it remains in the “on” position. I guess I’ll have to search for a better made product.I used this on/off switch to connect my wireless headset to my Sony TV via the USB port. Unlike my previous Sony, this newer tv would override the volume whenever I would plug the usb to its port for using my headset at night, which meant I had to unplug it (usb) to hear the tv over the speakers again. Needless to say, the constant plugging and unplugging was really annoying. I now can simply click the on/off switch and use my PS4, Xbox or just listen to tv at night without having to plug and unplug the USB any further. Perfect!

Works as expected for a webcam
This product works as intended for my purpose. I don't like leaving my webcam connected all the time and I didn't like plugging/unplugging it for meetings. Now with the simple flick of a switch I can turn the camera on or off without fumbling around with USB cables and ports. The only thing that would have made the switch better, at least to me, is if there were a marking or a small led light to indicate that the switch is in the on position. There is a tiny indentation on the switch that you can feel but it is not super obvious when looking at the switch. I just added a green circle sticker to the "on" side of the switch as a quick easy workaround.

Almost exactly what I wanted
I was looking for just a simple switch adapter with no extra cable, but I didn't find that, so I purchased this one because it was short enough to not be in the way. I need sound operating on my computer at all times, but do not want to wear a headset unless I'm in a meeting. I got tired of trying to find the little USB transmitter for my headset and scrambling to get it plugged in to answer an incoming call. I didn't know if what I wanted even existed, but a quick search turned up items such as this one. Just about perfect. Now I can simply turn it on when I want to use the headset and turn it off when I don't. Quick and easy. I would prefer a cableless adapter that just sits in the port, because I have to position this one just so to keep the switch accessible and yet out of the way, which I did by plugging it into the docking station at the back, but then that might be easily bent or dislodged so maybe this is the best overall solution. I'm happy.
