Used this disk for roughly three months or so intentionally trying to kill it, its lost some effectiveness in areas where its been heavily used but still works very well with a bit of pressure and is basically new in areas of the disk that haven't seen as much use. I'm an Ironworker and it has been invaluable as a tool, it rips through galvanization on iron without putting pits in metal, can be used to make cuts if you're in a bind just have to go slow, and can reliable grind down welds flush with existing metal. It is kind of heavy and thick so the only worry long term is it damaging your grinder or wearing it out, but with that it dose not require hardly any pressure at all to do its job so your tool will never really be bogged down by it so im not sure on that yet, ill update this if I can in the future. Pretty solid would recommend for the job scope of Ironworking.

Oh, does that thing grind! Scary if put in the hands of someone you don't trust, but useful for quicly grinding off imperfections on mild steel (haven't tried other steels, yet). It grinds faster than regular grinding stones of the same size, given the grit, and the rounded shape lets you really gently grind off small details. Will you have to come back with another wheel for a smoother finich if aestyhetics are important? Yeah, but think of the time you'd waste compared to this if you only had a regular stone! No match!

This worked better than anticipated. Ive only used it for one project, carving some limestone, but it ate it pretty fast and seemed to hold up well. I dont have anything else to compare it to in terms of carbide/stone carving, but it cut as good or better than a 36 grit flap disc cutting wood.

Hollowed out stones for pots and a large boulder for a birdbath. Chews through hard sandstone and even worked well on rhyolite (harder than granite.) Method involved parallel cutting with diamond wheel, knocking out remaining stone fins, and then finishing by shaping and smoothing with this disc. You can actually carve stone with this "flying saucer" profile. Highly recommended.
