HDMI to Component converter 5RCA YPbPr RGB + R/L Converter V1.4 with R/L Audio Output JBingGG Support MacBook/Nintendo Switch/PS4 Pro etc.

My set up is Roku Premiere 4661RW to Philips Magnavox 17MD255V and with 1080p selected in the set-up, it caused a pop/crackle sound and a black screen. Had to resort to 720p. With 720p selected, it seems ok and for my purposes (a small kitchen TV) it is would have been fine.Edit:Note 1) I dug up the TV manual and learned subsequently that the TVs max resolution is 1280 X 768 [RGB]. Therefore, the 720p setting vs 1080p is fine.Note 2) Had temporary loss of signal issues after a Roku software update which seemed resolved after switching HDMI cables. Perplexing because it was previously fine.Note 3) The "real kicker": I had to return this converter because it stopped sending blue to the TV from the Roku. I tried resetting every cable and resetting all the devices to no avail.

Due to a lightening strike, the HDMI ports went out on my TV so rather than throw the TV (last Samsung plasma that was made and the picture quality is fantastic!), I looked to solve by rerouting the cables. Ordered this and the component cables through Amazon to see if it would work and it solves my problem! Picture quality is just as good as HDMI only. With only one HDMI port in, you do have to switch if you have additional items but may be able to use an HDMI switch to solve for that. Overall very pleased with the quality of this product b

i tried this unit with no luck. I could not see any change to input or output. i have a 1080p input to a 1080i output using a Amazon fire tv stick with no picture at all. sent it back for a return and ordered another item and it worked perfectly.

This converter works great. I had a component system installed in my media room several years ago and recently replaced the receiver. I needed a converter to handle the HDMI cable and convert the signal to the component connection built into my wall. This device worked perfectly.

Needed this adapter to connect a wall hanging TV with component cables already in wall. I have a Roku box with HDMI output connection, so used an HDMI cable out of that and into this adapter. From there the component cables to the TV. Picture looks a lot better than the S-video to component adapter that was installed for the DirecTV box.

Tried it today with an old projector that has only component video inputs (no HDMI). Fed HDMI cable from a MacBook Pro to converter and connected component cables between projector and converter. Works great and does what is was meant to do.

Our kitchen TV ( we got if free about 7 years ago - it's a 32 inch) only had one HDMI port - and it stopped working about two years ago. The new box from cable doesn't have component outs, so this box was perfect. Other boxes wanted as much as $55, which is crazy. This works just fine!
