Our farmers agree not to use bovine growth hormone (rBGH), just as in organic milk. Oberweis milk is gently pasteurized to preserve the freshness, taste and nutrients. Others use ultra-high temperature pasteurization (UHT) to provide longer shelf life, but that process destroys the flavor and freshness of other milk. Finally, Oberweis’ glass bottles are designed to insulate and protect the milk from the taste altering effects of heat.
