So the longevity question has been answered! THIS is a quality setup! Maybe not the fastest or the best, but sure as heck does just as good of a job as anything else costing more. I've used mine to add 134A to leaking systems, repair systems, and have it hanging always within reach in my garage. I use the standard small cans of 134A and I can't tell you how many I have used through this manifold. I love it. I recommend it. The vacuum pump works GREAT! Will vacuum down the system perfectly! The bag is very nice as it protects the vacuum pump from dust and grit and damage sitting on the shelf. What is even more wild, to me, is that the price has gone DOWN since I bought mine! Wild! Seriously, for the shade tree mechanic, backyard mechanic, or even a mechanic in a shop, I can confidently recommend this particular kit as being a good buy. I literally just saved a $2500 dealer repair bill for my wifes AC by doing it myself with less than $400 in lifetime warranty parts! YouTube can show you how to use it! This setup cost less than the $159 diagnosis fee I ended up having to pay! Get you one!

Decided to install mini split in our fifth wheel and need a vacuum pump to do it. This pump was straightforward and had plenty of power, definitely felt solid and of good quality. The gauges worked as the should and my first mini split install was a complete success! I can definitely recommend this product!

DOES NOT INCLUDE 5/16 MINI SPLIT ADAPTER This kit is GREAT and works very well for a fantastic price. The gauges are clear and easy to read. The hoses are high quality, as are the included adapters. I can't comment on the r134a puncture valve, I haven't tried that just yet. It's pretty quiet, it's not the fastest at 3cfm but for something like a mini split or home AC it's more than fast enough. I let it run until all indication of air in the line stops (bubbles or burbling sounds) and then an extra 5 mins to make sure. Easy squeezy and for the price, I don't know that you can beat it--even at Hazard Fraught. As someone else said, the little cap for the oil port is very easy to lose...but whatever. I bought this to install a TOSOT 18,000 BTU Mini-Split, but you could use it for anything needing vacuum. The video I followed to install my unit suggested this vacuum pump and indicated it included "all gauges and adapters", and this turned out to be incorrect. My ONLY beef with this item is that, as far as I can tell, NOWHERE does it list what size adapters are included. I wish that I could tell you what they ARE, but I can't, I don't know. I know that the standard mini-split 5/16" is NOT in the box. 5/16 Inch Female Quick Coupler to 1/4 Inch Male Flare is the adapter you'll need for a mini split. There are lots of options, the one I ordered was $7 and came in two days and fit perfectly. Pulled to -30 psi in seconds and cleared the lines totally within 5 or so minutes, then I let it run for a total of almost 20 minutes.

After watching a long list of mini split installs..one of them had this pump as part of their links..I never installed a mini split before and this pump has worked perfectly for my install and I will use it for future installs. For the price this was perfect. The storage bag is a perfect addition. Bag feels very durable as well as the pump and gages.

This product was demonstrated by the YouTube channel "ChrisFix." This kit comes with everything you need (minus an AC refrigerant can tap and, of course, a refrigerant recovery machine) to vacuum your auto AC system and add new refrigerant. The gauges are amazingly accurate, and the vacuum pump delivers excellent performance. I replaced the AC compressor, condenser/drier assembly, O-rings, and expansion valve in my 2011 Scion xB, and this product worked perfectly. When you're done, you can store this kit in the included nylon bag, which is super convenient. Make sure you read the user manuals/guides to make sure you don't miss anything, especially the requirement to fill the vacuum pump with oil. Note that if you buy the 12 oz refrigerant cans from an auto parts store, you will need to buy a can tap, but unless your can tap comes with a built-in Schrader valve, you will not be able to hook the yellow hose directly to the can tap (the threads don't match). To solve this problem, this kit comes with 2 Schrader valve adapters that have the correct threads for both the yellow hose, and for the can tap. Attach one of the kit's adapters to the can tap, then attach the can tap to the yellow hose, and you're good to go. Overall, this is a must-buy for DIY AC work.

I said no way to paying $$$ for a mechanic to rebuild the A/C in my old junker of a car. After spending several weeks detailing the research on A/C repair, I purchased all the parts and special tools I needed, including this excellent kit. I use scroll pumps all the time in my job and I can tell you that this is just a great little pump, nothing fancy or powerful, just enough to get the job done. The A/C manifold is made with good components and helped me perfectly tune the coolant. After fixing my A/C, I had several friends and family asking me to help with theirs. So I have already used this thing 6 times this past summer and it worked great the whole time. In short, this is an excellent, and essential tool for anyone looking to repair their A/C. My one recommendation is that the low pressure line doesn't need to have the range that it has with this product. It would be better for diagnosing leaks to have a much larger range between -15 psi and 0 psi, which could be done if the dynamic range of the needle wasn't so much.

I love this set. I used it to install a small mini split and it has everything you need. Perfect! The service port adaptor that came with this ended up leaking and I switched it out with another one I had but even still, I absolutely love this kit. Having all the stuff you need all in one affordable package is amazing.

I tried to change pump and condenser without a vacuum pump. Worked for about 15 mins, then vapor locked. Put on the pump and ran it 2 hours, had air since. What's not to like?
