Reasonable sized timer that fits well
Starting and stopping the sprinkler during summer months is really troublesome. Earlier I had a mechanical timer that can be set only to shut off; and you need to start it manually every time. I was looking for a smaller sized electronics timer that fits well in our double faucet outlet. This one is a perfect fit for that. Also, the protective transparent PVC cover is a plus for this system.Though programming was a bit troublesome but once you go through the supported manual, then all will be very clear and easy to set up the timing for On and OFF. I kept two programs for watering for all days of the week. For that following are the steps:Install the battery:Press the big orange button and pull the blue cover out to place two AA batteries. LCD screen will show up.Set current Time:Click "Timer" (3rd red) button > In LCD screen Hours will blip; increase Hours by "+" (4th red) button multiple times > Click "OK" (last red) button, to set Hour, And now in LCD screen Minutes will blip; increase Minutes by "+" (4th red) button multiple times > Click "OK" (last red) button, to set Minutes.Set Program 1 & 2: (watering to start at 6:00 and to end at 6:20 and again at 20:00 till 20:15)1. Ensure system is AUTO state, by clicking "Manual/Clear" (first red) button.2. Press "Program" (second red) button. It would set to program-1 ON state.3. Click "+" (4th red) button multiple times > Click "OK" (last red) button, to set the days of the week for watering. I choose MO TU WE TH FR SA SU - i.e., all days of the week.4. In LCD screen Hours will blip; increase Hours by "+" (4th red) button multiple times till it is showing "06" > Click "OK" (last red) button, to set Hour, And now in LCD screen Minutes will blip; increase Minutes by "+" (4th red) button multiple times till it is showing "00" > Click "OK" (last red) button, to set the Minute. It would now be set to program-1 OFF state and in LCD screen Minutes will blip. Increase Minutes by "+" (4th red) button multiple times till it is showing "20" > Click "OK" (last red) button, to set the Minute. Thus, watering time in Program-1 is set from 06:00 to 06:20.5. Next, it would be now set to program-2 state.6. Follow the above step 3 and step 4, to set the next watering time for 20:00 to 20:15.Forcing Manual watering:Click "Manual/Clear" (first red) button to set in Manual state. Watering will start. After some time, you can click it again to OFF to stop watering or you can set durations in minutes till watering stops. After every such manual operation click the same button to set it in AUTO position to kick off Automated programs.Switch off the System:Click "Manual/Clear" (first red) button to set it in OFF state, to completely switch off the timer from watering.

Works perfectly on non-pressured gravity fed drip system.
Works perfectly on my non-pressured gravity flow drip system. If wish it had an LED display for timer settings. If you were wondering, I just ordered two more of these timers for use.

Does some things well.
Easy to change the batteries. Haven't had to do that yet, but from other reviews it looks like I will soon. There's a light that flashes that lets you know the batteries are functioning.Moderately easy to get the times set up. Decide what time you want it to start (say 4 AM). Set the timer the evening before at 4 PM. The timer will start working 12 hours later at 4 AM. A little confusing, but easy enough. One BIG missing item is "run manual now". Not there. And there doesn't appear to be any way to do that.Another missing item is "rain delay". The only way to pause the timer is to turn off the water at the faucet. The main reason I bought these timers (got 3), is the fact that they are not digital. The digital timers I've bought in the past work for one year (maybe 2), then the screen becomes unreadable due to sunlight (??). Once that happens, when you need to change the batteries, there's no way to change/adjust the settings. Can't read the screen.Overall, I'm happy with them so far. Hopefully, I'll get more than one or 2 years out of them before I need to replace them.

Yardeen 2 outlet electronic water timer.
I bought two of these. One in October 2022 and one in February 2023. They are the worst items I ever bought from Amazon. For reasons of illness and weather was not able to install them till April 2022. Installation Is very simple. You are just make all the connections. Next you are setting the timing of the watering. Again ease enough that almost everyone can do it.However it does not work on either item which seems very oddI called Amazone and explained the Problem and Amazon gave me link to communicate with Yardeen. I did thad that and after a couple day they responded telling me to change the batteries. I did that but it didn’t solve the issue. So I let them know that it did not work. I did send them another message of which they never responded. Now I have purchased 2 Yardeen devices which I have to throw away and I have purchased now 2 more Devices from Amazon.Who is the winner here??????????????????

Concern about Longevity
Pretty easy to setup. I found that this truly works on rain barrels with little to know pressure. The mechanical valve opens and water comes out. I'm giving 3 stars because the last one I bought only lasted one season. If this one lasts longer, I will update.

Water timer works
My first experience with this was not good. It didn't turn on when it was supposed to when I was away on vacation and my tomatoes almost died. I've since tested and used several times with no problems. I'm not sure why the time had changed and my programmed time got erased previously but I've used it several times since and the clock time has stayed correct, as well as my programmed watering times. It's also very durable. I had thrown it across my yard when I first had issues with it (was a little upset about my tomatoes not getting water) and the thing held up in one piece. I'm glad it's working the way it's supposed to now.Edit: I think direct sunlight negatively affects operation, it's probably trapping heat behind the clear plastic cover. I was getting a low battery indicator and clock time was resetting. I covered the face of it with opaque white plastic warp and so far, working better after a several weeks of testing with it covered.

Works as it should
No complaints. Used everyday all of last summer on a rain barrel to water the garden. Was simple enough to setup and never failed on us. Would buy again.
