Bicycle Brake Pad Alignment Tool, 2-Piece MTB Disc Brake Pad Adjusting Tool for Mountain Bike Disk Repair

I gave it 5 stars, because for the first time in my life, I could adjust the calipers of my mtb in less than 15 minutes and just one try, it's incredible how useful this is... in my case, I am a sick with frictions and pistons descompensating in the brakes of my mtb.

So thankful to have come across these. Helped so much with getting my bike back on track. They are every durable and super easy to use. You can't go wrong getting these for the value they are worth. Easily fit them in with no issue.

I have SRAM Rival 22 hydraulic disks. SRAM says loosen the brake caliper housing, squeeze the lever a few times and hold the lever, and tighten the bolts again. Still had squeaking and squealing with moderately hard braking. Tried aligning by eye. Sometimes I got it right. Now, I just loosen the housing bolts, slide this over the disc, rotate it in between the pads, squeeze the lever, and tighten the bolts. Voila!! Perfect alignment and the squealing when braking ends. (Except when I ride in the rain. Nothing stops that with SRAM pads.) Price has nearly doubled now, but it is still a fair price for two of them. My cycling friends no longer need ear plugs when I brake. :)

These don’t do a very good job of centering the brake caliper. I’ve tried several times with Shimano and Sram brakes. Too small

Tried and tried to align my sram calipers. Loosen them align tighten and they would still be dragging on the disc. Loosen the calipers, pushed the Pistons back in, put the wheel and disc back on, then placed these between to disc and the pads. Squeezed the brakes and they were finally perfectly aligned. No more dragging brakes. These worked much better than using business cards.

Recently got a new bike with hydraulic brakes. Checked and I hear a slight rubbing so I researched how to adjust it and ended up with this item.I liked it because it is compact and more affordable. I was able to fix rubbing issue using the tool (really works!) but found out that maybe the longer Brake Pad Alignment Tool would be better because you would have more area to hold on to (after adjustment). The longer one would be easier to pull out the tool when moving back the wheel after alignment. For awhile there, this tool was stuck and couldn't get it out because I couldn't quite grip it.

Used to fix excessive rubbing of hydraulic brakes. After resetting the pistons, this gave my brake pads the necessary slack to remedy the rubbing. So glad I got these.
