Comfortable garden bench
We put this together fairly easily. The instructions aren’t that clear especially when it comes to the placing of the 2 support bars. That said, it looks good and is very comfortable.

Compact and stylish little bench
Stylish little bench. Not amazing quality but for the price it’s pretty good. Varnish on the underside of the slats isn’t well painted but you can’t see that. Wood is a little bendy so probably not good for heavy weight. We bought it for our cats so it’s perfect for its job!

You get what you pay for
This is a review for the wooden slatted bench - some reviews seem to be for other versions. It's a reasonable bench, and looks good, but there's no way it would stand 220kgs - at 80kgs the bench flexes alarmingly when I sit in the middle - I wouldn't recommend 3 people sit on it even if they could fit.Construction is a bit fiddly when doing it alone, and you need to use a screwdriver and a 10mm socket to tighten the screws. There are no pilot holes in the wood for the back flexible metal support strips, which have holes drilled in a random fashion. As it's soft wood, I will probably revarnish the slats just to be safe.This was one of the cheaper options for a garden bench, which I'll only use occasionally, so I can't complain too much.

Needs varnishing
I didn't read the reviews before I bought this so wasn't aware of the varnishing issue.When it arrived the box states 'varnished' so I was quite pleased. However, as mentioned in other reviews, it is only one side that is lightly varnished. I assembled the bench quite quickly and easily and then came to read the reviews about how to assemble the back strip. This is where I found that customers who didn't add varnished tended to find the bench becoming mouldy after about a month. I also realised through the reviews that two slats are chamfered. I took the bench apart, gave it two coats of varnish, found the chamfered pieces and reassembled it. The strip at the back went on with just a screwdriver so that was okay. It does look nice and compliments the other garden furniture so am quite happy with it. I'm just pleased I had the time to put the work into it.First photo is of bench unvarnished and without back strip and second photo is bench complete with two coats of a natural oak varnish.I've given 3 stars under the waterproof heading as I wasn't sure it would be and didn't want to risk it, which is why I added the varnish.

Easy construct and looks good
Looks good and simple to construct. Please note varnish is only on exposed side of timbers.

Disappointed
Bought two benches for garden. One came with no packet of nuts, bolts or assembly screws. Wood is very poorly finished with varnish on the undersides on both benches. Trying to contact to ask for a replacement set of ironmongery almost impossible.
