Great story
Follows the "fractured fairy tale" line. Worth a lot of giggles. Even my three young grandsons saw the humor in the story.

Three Stars
I found the story incomplete. It leaves you hanging with out a perspective of the ending...confused.

We love this book
The kids (3 and 5 now but we've been reading for a couple of years) pick it again and again. Turtle and turkey could have been angry and fought each other but decided to become friends and then tricked the bully hare. Lovely colorful illustrations and great message. Love the trust on the old Aesop's Fable. Love the Choctaw folklore. And the illustrations are beautiful and tell the story.
