Loop is too firm.

My husband had cataract surgery last year that resulted in 20/20 distance vision. For the first time in his life, he couldn’t read up close without generic readers. He was frustrated all day with needing readers that were not handy, and I got tired of the fussy, “I can’t read it without my glasses.” He is absolutely thrilled to always have his readers available with this gizmo! He has thanked me a dozen times (the trio was a stocking-stuffer) and happy to have them handy at work all day without having to remember to pack and carry his reading glasses from meeting to meeting, something a person that doesn’t struggle with this vision limitation just wouldn’t get. It may seem minor, but it’s a simple tool with a significant impact and works really well.

The quality is good but the thickness of the string is too thick approx. 3 mm. It's visible around the neck and because it's thick and stiff, it doesn't stay relaxed on the side of the neck.

The Strap is very sturdy... The rubber rings that secure the strap to your glasses are not worth a flip. The first one I attached broke immediately, as I was trying to attach it. I had to use the rubber from a different item that is years old. If they will fix the bad part, this could be a nice setup.

The cord is too stiff. While the material is durable, it creates an discomfort. The peripheral view of the cord is distracting and while the glasses are worn, the tail at times bumps my shoulder causing me to constantly toss it over the shoulder. I should have just spent a little more and bought a better functioning cord like a chain, the downside to the chain is that the material of the links can cause an allergic reaction or turn colors depending on the type of metal. I'm not pleased with the overall functionality of this item.

These worked fine for a while then the leather started to separate exposing the interior paper cord. These are made with paper cordage with a thin leather strip wrapped around it in a spiral. When they get used the leather starts to separate. The separation is faster in warm or hot weather when worn against the skin. During summer months they are always touching the skin and the moisture causes the leather to unspiral and separate. It took less than a month for mine to become useless. I went through all three in short order. Won’t buy again!
