Very good power bank, recharge from mains, then recharge mobile phone in good time, I was impress I brother another one

This power bank does exactly what it's supposed to at a very competitive price. My last one recently wore out & stopped charging so I was looking for a replacement. I went for Anker as it is a quality & reliable brand & this device was one of the cheapest at this power level. My new power bank is far superior to my old one - it charges up fast & powers up devices equally quickly. You can easily keep track of the power level through the 4 blue light indicators. But what I like best about it is how stylish it is - I have the black version which is very sleek & the slim shape & light weight makes it perfect for travelling or just taking out anywhere with you. I have used this to charge my iPhone & Airpods with no issues using a USB to lightning adaptor & I charge the power bank using either the micro USB (it comes with a cable) or USB C ports which both work great. I've managed to get several full charges of my phone out of one charge of the power bank, so it's perfect for my level of every day usage.

Amazon (or is it Anker?) say this is a newer version of Anker PowerCore 10000mAh Power Bank, Small & Light Portable Charger, Ultra-Compact External Battery with Fast-Charging Technology for iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, and More and advertise it as being extremely thin and compact: Anker Powercore Slim 10000, Extremely Thin Power Bank, Compact 10000 mAh External Battery, High Speed, PowerIQ And VoltageBoost Charging Technologies, Power Bank For iPhone, Samsung Galaxy And More. However, it is heavier, longer and wider than the original and, although only about two-thirds the depth, not particularly slim either. The LED indicators on the new version have much more limited visibility than on the original - you almost have to be looking directly down on the newer power bank to see what level of charge it has, although the button to check charge level is better placed on the new one, being combined with the LED indicators. New version has a USB-C input (only) which might mean a shorter time to charge power bank if you have a suitable cable? The cable supplied is standard USB to micro-USB. On the plus side, it is currently cheaper as there's a £5 discount and also a voucher available. As usual with Anker products, beautifully packaged and the box includes a carrying pouch as well as the supplied cable. Recharging my phone seems to work as expected (but only a partial recharge so far) so overall I am happy, but I think I would have been at least as happy with the older version (which my son happens to have, so I've been able to compare for real) if it had been the same price and it would have got the full 5 stars compared to the 4 I'm giving the newer one as I don't think its description or the LED indicators are as good.
