Low-fat, quick, easy, tasty (though I like to jazz it up)
This brand of noodle bowls has been my favorite, for this sort of thing. They're quite tasty, especially if you spice them up a little. My favorite is to add some of that chili-garlic sauce from the same folks who make Sriracha, and maybe add some thin onion and mushroom slices, or some pre-cooked shrimp, or whatever I feel like that will work out okay in such a short microwaving time. I may also add little bit of ginger-and-sesame teriyaki sauce (like Soy Vey). And I top it off with just a tiny bit of cubeb pepper. Yeah, that's very "Asian fusion" and not trad Japanese, but these are microwave noodles in the US, not something I'm ordering in Tokyo from a renowned chef. If you're in a big hurry, you do not have to do the soaking to loosen up the noodles. Just break the semi-soft noodle block into quarters, add your water, and pop in the microwave. You'll get just-as-tasty results, faster, and easy to eat with a soup spoon (short noodles = no fighting to keep them on a spoon or wrangle them with chopsticks).I had a health problem for a while that required me to have an extremely low-fat diet (3 grams per meal max, 12 grams per day max), for over a year, and I went through cases and cases of these Annie Chun's noodle bowls because they are filling and so low-fat. They were a real life-saver, even if not the absolute most nutritious thing on earth. I also got the miso flavor and a few others, though a few offerings from this brand actually are fatty, so I couldn't eat all of them. I'm better now, and I've started to actually miss this udon one in particular, so I've ordered a few. PS: To me, this brand beats the pants off the imported ones you can get in bigger but more expensive packages as Asian markets in major cities. The brands I've tried have all be super-extra-mega-oily, like they just douse the noodles in vegetable oil for no reason before packaging them. Blech.

Good product
A bit better than ramen cup

These are great, they need sriracha or chili oil added though
I don’t understand all the negative reviews! I really like these, they’re pretty good for instant noodles. Udon noodles come fully cooked and sealed, you just add hot water to the dry spice/tofu mix and noodles and/or microwave. The miso flavor are better than the udon and actually come with (cheap) miso paste.

Almost no flavor
Honestly, the noodles don't cook well, and the taste is barely there. I wouldn't recommend, there are plenty of other options to try.

sauce too sugary
Noodles and tofu onion are okay, but sauce is way too sugary sweet. If you use less than half the sauce provided and add regular soy sauce, it'll better balance out. Also, the portion is small.

Quick, filling option for being at home
I really enjoy these. For a packaged meal - it’s really good. I love it better at the restaurant, but when you don’t feel like going out this is a great alternative.

Used to be great - what happened?
This was a great, easy, oops I only have 15 mins between meetings “guilty pleasure” lunch, and it seems to have dramatically changed. I won’t lose sleep over it, but bummer.

For packaged item, this is great!
If you want restaurant-quality udon, go to a restaurant, very simple. This is not that. For those on house arrest due to COVID-19, this is perfect for having some type of non-American food that is quick and easy. I have spices and special Asian sauces on hand that I can use to spruce it up a little OR even add some real veggies myself, no problems.Looking forward to ordering this item again.
