I have way too many power strips, including a few that clamp on to the edge of a table or shelf, but most are not made very well. To me it’s important that a power outlet like this hold on to the table or desk strong enough that I can plug a power cord in one-handed. This one understands that and not only clamps from the bottom but is designed like the letter C to apply pressure equally from the top and bottom. A rugged steel design assures that I can tighten the clamp to it can’t budge. I like that it has three outlets because I have it attached to the edge of a table in my kitchen area where I work on a lot of little projects, sometimes needing to plug two or three things in at the same time.WHICH EDGENormally this would be designed to clamp to the top edge of a desk and be fully exposed. But remember I’m using this on a table in my kitchen area, I don’t want an unsightly power outlet staring me in the face as I eat breakfast. The angle of the clamp is ideal for mounting to the frame of the table where the outlet sits completely out of sight but fully accessible to use at any time.THE USB PORTSI didn’t buy this for the USB ports, although they are very handy when I am testing something new I bought, these days such products rarely include a transformer so it’s nice not having to look for one. That being said I am reluctant to plug important devices like my thousand dollar smart phone or my equally expensive iPad. It’s just as easy using the proper transformer that is designed for such items. So I’m not putting a lot of weight in my review on those ports. They’re handy but as a convenience, that’s all.YES OR NOWhat sold me on this brand is that I could buy it with the length of cord I need and not have to bundle up any excess. For a table or desk mounted outlet all I need is three feet to reach the wall outlet. My only suggestion is it would have been nice if they used a right angle plug instead of a standard grounded one. That’s not a big deal, just a suggestion. Otherwise I like this a lot. It’s evident that they use quality materials and it’s well put together. And compared to others I’ve seen their price is very reasonable. I like it.

I have been looking for something to add to my desk so I can charge my various electronics. Bending over under the desk was getting old. I already have a wireless charging stand for my phone but my laptop needs a traditional plug and the family has a few different tablets and and another laptop. I also recharge my Eneloop batteries and my flashlight batteries at my desk, so I needed more than just a USB hub. After looking around at various options, from mounting a power strip on top of the desk to one of those pop-out desk outlets, I decided to give this a shot.I didn't have to cut a hole in my desktop, which is a plus, I have the option to move it around if I rearrange things later and it looks better than a standard power strip sitting on my desk. I bought the three outlet/two USB configuration.Setup was simple. Pick a spot around the edge of the desk and screw the mounting bracket until its tight. There is a rubber pad on both ends to help with grip. Once I had it tightened down, it wasn't going anywhere. I was worried pushing the grounded plugs in would make the strip bend or flex, eventually out of position, but that's not the case. It holds firm after numerous "pluggings", and doesn't flex at all. The cord from the strip to the wall feels tough and is plently long for my needs.Overall construction feels solid. Thick plastic and metal mounting screw. I'm confident this will hold up to years of use.The USB ports charge devices at "normal" speed, they're getting the full 2A while plugged in. The regular outlets are like, well, regular outlets.Overall this is a great solution to add outlets to within arm's reach. I could see this being used at desks or maybe an end table by some couches or even for a workbench (as long as you don't require a 15 amp load as I believe this is only rated for 13). Solid construction and good performance and the price was right. I got this to replace a power strip I kept on the floor to plug devices in. This is much more convenient, and I don't have to keep picking up the power strip to clean the floor. I wish it had a C port, but it works fine with my speed charger block and the USB ports are also handy.

This is convenient and easy when constantly having to plug and unplug work equipment the one gripe I would have is with only having three plugs which is fine I wish they were spaced out just a bit but that’s with most items like this

Needed a solution for a dorm room with few sockets. We clamped these to the desk tops for my kid and his roommate and it works perfectly. Created extra plug in space that was conveniently located.

Works good and holds well on the desk. The usb is low power so no fast charging which is fine for me.

Great idea. Gets the outlet on my end tables so they are easily accessible. With all the devices people use now everyone is always looking to charge so this ends the hunt for open outlets, just bring the empty ones behind the sofa to the end table. Convenient.

We have a small homeschool set up in our home office, and we have multiple Surface3 dock set ups (which have super-short cords). The setup faces a window, and using an extension cord plus all the electrical cords make it difficult to close the curtains. All the connections just made things a mess! But with these attachable power blocks, I was able to securely mount them where I want (in an ideal spot), hide the cords, clean everything up, and it is SO much better and more usable. Everything is more organized and less cluttered... plus there are open USB ports and outlets for anything they need to quickly/momentarily plugged in. It's amazing how a simple little mountable power block can make things so much better. As for the blocks themselves, they feel well-made, they have a long cord, and work perfectly.
