Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Metallic Spray Paint, Antique Brass

I used this Rust-Oleum Antique Brass spray paint to update a pair of dated outdoor light fixtures, and I'm genuinely impressed with the results. The color is a rich, warm brass that looks much more expensive than a can of spray paint has any right to. The paint went on smoothly with even coverage and didn't drip or streak when applied in light coats. It covered the old finish well and gave the fixtures a completely refreshed look. I'm so glad I tried this as it it helped me avoid replacing perfectly good fixtures, saving a significant amount of money while still achieving the updated look I wanted. The finish has a subtle metallic sheen without looking overly shiny or fake. If you're considering refinishing outdoor fixtures, hardware, or décor pieces, this paint is absolutely worth trying. The before-and-after difference exceeded my expectations.

Purchased to spray paint some fixtures. Love the antique brass color, inexpensive way to update your furniture. One coat covered well and dried quickly.

Paint was a lot darker once sprayed. I expected it to be more like the lid color.

The spray paint was not quite as metallic as shown in the images, which was mildly disappointing. It also definitely needs two to three coats so I would buy more than you think you need if you're doing a big project. Otherwise, the nozzle functioned well and the paint came out easily with an appropriate spray range.

I’m honestly brand new to the whole spray-painting thing. I finally decided to try it on a home décor project, used Rust-Oleum, and now I completely understand why people spray paint everything! 😂 I used the Antique Brass color on the lantern in my photo, and I did it completely by myself. For someone with basically no spray-painting experience, I was genuinely surprised by how beautiful it came out. The antique brass is exactly the warm, slightly aged-looking color I wanted, and it completely transformed the piece. Another thing worth mentioning: definitely compare prices before heading to a big-box store. I found it cheaper on Amazon, which made this an even better buy for me. If you’re a beginner like I was and nervous about trying your first spray-paint project, I definitely recommend this one. I’m officially hooked—and currently looking around my house wondering what I can spray paint next!

I was very pleased with the results from this spray paint. It goes on smoothly, provides a beautiful metallic finish, and dries to a durable coating that looks professional. The color has a nice shine without being overly glossy, and it gave new life to an older project. The spray nozzle worked well and made it easy to apply an even coat with no drips when used properly. It dried quickly, covered well, and has held up nicely over time. Overall, this is a high-quality spray paint, and I would definitely purchase it again for future projects.

I used this on a sideboard that I purchased but hated the color. I did apply a basecoat of Rust-Oleum black gloss spray paint (2 cans) first. After that was completely dry, I used 2 cans of the Rust-Oleum Charcoal Metallic Spray Paint. At the time of purchase, both types of paint were reasonably priced. The sideboard dimensions are H=41" D=14" L=50" to give you an idea on how much area I was able to cover. The paint was so easy to apply, covered great and the consistency was smooth. It turned out way better than I expected. I wanted to have sort of a James Bond look rather than just a plan high gloss black or gray look. I just dust it with a soft cloth. Be sure to wear a face mask and safety glasses.

Really liked the metallic blue colour, it dried in less than 12 hours. The smell is very strong however, so be careful.

Perfect match for delta champagne bronze fixtures

Ordered champagne broze, but it is more like regular bronze. However, it still looks great! The handles on my fridge were turning yellow so I decided to spray paint them! Comes as a 6 pack of spray can so im gonna do a lot more painting! Love the look!! Did about 4 or 5 coats as this will be handled a lot. Wish it had more of that pinky champagne brozlnze look but still it looks way better than it did.
