It does what it says. But will a new one work?
Update June 2018 I did by a second one for home. The bean hopper is lid is not hinged on this one which is a small downgrade. It is working well and I am happy. The one at work after many cups started to sound as if it was struggling to push the water though the coffee. On inspection the flow was slowing. I downloaded a service video and parts list and was about to open the unit up to clean the water lines when I noticed that there is a plate with fine holes through which the coffee is strained. You can get this by removing the plate at the top and removing one screw. I heated a toothbrush and bent it 90 degrees. We use the brush monthly to clean the plate or when the symptoms reoccur. So still 5 stars. Update over 2100 cups brewed great performance. I wanted to buy another but the later reviews are going from 5-stars to 1-star. I just don't have time to deal with a faulty machine. Any recommendations for an alternative. BTW, we never use milk steamer. Update 1097 trouble free cups brewed including 1.3oz and double 2.3oz espresso and strong espresso. Great machine. Occasional misfire due to beans catching in the hopper. Just need to tamp down beans when you top up. Highly recommended We have brewed over 400 cups of mainly espresso so far and are very happy with the machine. My other machine is the Aeropress which still brews an outstanding cup of coffee. Areopress is labor intensive and requires a lot of concentration to get right. The Krups is simple as you could wish for and makes a great cup. We do not use milk or cream so I can't give an input on that. So what's not to like. The overflow tray should indicate that it needs emptying sooner than it does. When the indicators do come up it is hard to empty without spilling. Everything else is as it should be. In fact, after writing this I'm changing my review to 5-stars.

makes excellent coffee but broke 2 times
to cut to the chase, I have had a Saeco Magic Deluxe for 10 years and it no longer makes hot coffee. I could replace the boiler but decided I would be better off with a new machine. I wanted another Saeco but reviews indicate that quality and service are not good so I did an extensive review and came up with the Krups EA82 which I purchased and have been using for a week. I was concerned as you neither can clean the brew group nor the grinder - this machine is fully automatic. About the only thing it doesn't do is buy your coffee. Pros: adjustable volume of coffee and grind (fine, medium, coarse)- you cannot change the amount of coffee used in each cup. You end up with an excellent brew. totally automatic - you need to clean the ground draw, the coffee cleaner and the drip tray - the drip tray and grounds draw are not huge so they need to be cleaned about every 8 cups. The task takes 30 seconds. set up - a total breeze. The machine walks you through each step - if you can rotate a knob and push a button you will be fine quality of the coffee - excellent you can also adjust the temperature of the coffee. Negatives: it has a milk frother and milk container but the instructions to use it are inadequate also the instructions for removing the frothing wand are absent. There are several videos on youtube which show how this is done otherwise there are no negatives that I have the machine recommends not using a dark roast coffee as they are often too oily but then provides a funnel which goes in the coffee bean hopper for their use - this seems contradictory How I use the machine- I have tried many different coffees over the years including very expensive Italian ones. For me Starbucks French Roast is perfect. It is a dark roast coffee which so far 50 + cups has worked just fine without the dark roast coffee funnel in the bean hopper. Krups recommends using a Claris water filter in the water tank - these are around $20 per filter and last 2 months. I use a Brita with a Brita carafe and fill the water tank from my Brita carafe. Costco sells these in Costco quantity at very reasonable prices and does the same for the Starbucks coffee Addendum: I have now been using the Krups for 2 months - first it continues to make excellent coffee - additional dislikes: the puck draw and the drip draw need to be emptied after every 8 cups of coffee an annoyance; the cleaner needs to be cleaned after every 8 cups and filling the water reservoir is tedious - a swivel on the base of the machine would make that task easier. In spite of these annoyances, the object of the machine is to make great coffee and this machine does it - end of story I would buy it again. Addendum: At just over 1 year, the machine stopped working; to their credit Krups honored its warranty and repaired the machine at no charge including shipping both ways, telling us to stop using French roast or oily coffee. We used a very dry non oily coffee from then on. About 1 month ago the machine started to make a whine while grinding coffee and then today failed completely. It is now well out of warranty and I am not going to repair it, nor can I recommend purchasing it based on my experience which is poor reliability. It is a shame as to its death it made a great cup of coffee.

Un muy buen equipo pero de operación no tan sencilla en un inicio, pues tuve problemas con el filtro. Quintando esto muy buena compra.

I had an older version of this and it died at 3 years and the grinder died. I bought a new one because of the quality vs price. However this newer was considerbilly cheaper build for the same model with clear cost cutting and reduced quality of materials. I got the package in perfect condition unpacked it on a Friday and on Sunday water leaked from inside the machine after a loud pop (5 coffees total). There is a big quality difference from the original version of this machine that I had to this version.

La espumadora de leche es muy complicada, se tapa con mucha facilidad. La temperatura del capuccino en ocasiones quema la leche. Para el precio y marca estoy muy decepcionado.
