Deadpool 7: Axis Paperback – January 1, 2014

This book was pretty great. It started off with Deadpool spending time with his daughter and helping his friends from North Korea, and then things got topsy turvy. This book is an Axis tie in, so as a result, Deadpool changed like everybody else, and turned into Zenpool. The events that followed made for an interesting story. Plus, the Roxxon story at the end was pretty funny. If you have read and liked the series up to this point, then I recommend this book.

In Deadpool Volume 6: Original Sin Deadpool finally has a family. He is reunited with his daughter and happily to wed to Shikla, demon-queen of the underworld. However, Deadpool's domestic bliss is turned upside down when the mercenary is drawn into the Red Skull's bid for world domination (see: Avengers & X-Men: Axis ).The highlights of the Avenger/X-Men Axis crossover are retold from Deadpool's insane point of view. Readers who enjoyed the Axis crossover will be interested in this volume because several key moments in the Axis event are expanded here. The moment Magneto recruits Deadpool into his cabal is pretty good, but the extended scenes with Evan add important details to the event.The Axis inversion spell turns Deadpool into a vegetarian Zen peacenick, and it couldn't come at a worse time. The refugee North Korean FauX-Men are at the mercy of newly evil X-Men. Deadpool's new alignment nearly ruins his marriage. But his neighbors seem happy with the change!Finally, this collection ends with a little morality tale about "Gracking" (Gamma-radiation fracking). Deadpool is paid by Roxxon to sing the praises of the energy-extraction process. In the course of illustration the marvel of fracking, Deadpool gives readers a tour of the problems involved with the process. I actually appreciated this admittedly heavy-handed didactic piece because my home in the middle of great plains has absolutely been shaken by small earthquakes a half a dozen times in the last few years.Deadpool's adventures continue in Deadpool Vol. 8: All Good Things

Um, his stories are getting deeper than I might have imagined. I kind of dig it.

Love the Deadpool books. It's a great lampoon of the whole Marvel Universe. I just hope they don't forget that when they make the movie.

Although I did not enjoy this jaunt as much as I could not relate to some of the global or Xmen storylines (I am a fan of Deadpool and refuse to read the massive assortment of intersecting comics). Still highly recommended.

Pretty cool story line I don't really follow the other marvel now! stories so I got lost a little with the axis part but overall awesome read. Zenpool was a pretty interesting concept as well, kinda makes you think lol.

It’s always interesting to see what wade wilson does. And how he pretends not to care but he dose. And the humour is always there.
