Perfect Fit
Exactly as described. Fit my 2001 Volvo Penta 4.3GL marine engine.

Not exact match!
Not a perfect fit. The thermostat housing sticks out a bit more to the front causing the alternator to be too tight. I had to get a larger belt. Also the extra "nubs" around the carb area were a problem. I didn't want to grind them down so I had to trim the adapter plate for my Holly carb to make it fit. It was still the best option available with the part not available all summer from Volvo-Penta. The shipping and service was perfect.

Had to modify for 4.3 Volvo Penta
It fit but had to grind down casting on top . There are four round pieces that stick up near where carburetor mounted . My 2bbl Holley would not mount until I ground those off . Casting looks cheap but it did work

Fits good with a bit of grinding…
Fits perfectly. Needed a bit of grinding near the thermostat housing

Struggling to make fit
I had to grind down some excess casting to make the carb fit which was fine but now realizing the water neck is about an inch ahead of where my original Volvo penta was and am having clearance issues installing alternator
