This has saved me SO MUCH time and hassle
So I have never had a wireless printer before but I was tired of having to either move my printer between rooms to print from different computers, or email documents back and forth! It was really annoying but I lived with it. Then my old printer broke down. After a bit of research, and reading the reviews on here, I decided to take a punt on this printer and let me tell you I am not disappointed! I can now print from any room, from any computer, heck, even my ipad!It was super easy to set up, you have a choice of a bottom paper feeder (where you just leave a whole wad of paper in the printer) or a stand up rear feeder. The print quality is great, especially with the original cartridges, it's pretty much photo quality. It prints quickly as well and the 2 sided function is a LOT more useful than I imagined it would be, especially when you have a ton of pages that you want to keep in orderThere's a great copy function where you just plonk a bunch of pages in the copy slot and it will just take them through, one by one, and either scan or copy one or both sides automatically (and you can send the scans directly, wirelessly to your computer). It also has a traditional flatbed scanner in addiction to the drag-through copy/scanner slot.I haven't tried the memory card slots but I'm sure they're easy to use, the touch screen interface is very intuitive.~~~~REALLY CHEAP PRINTING ~~~~~~Now, here's the great thing. I tend to print a LOT of colour imagery (I'm an artist) so it's important for me to not spend a million bucks a month on printer cartridges. I had tried replacement inks where you sort of inject a used, empty cartridge with ink to refill it, but it was always super messy and time consuming (and always went wrong when I had to get things printed right away!)So I decided on replacement cartridges instead. Simple, clean and (hopefully) cheap! After trying a few different brands of replacement cartridges with this printer, I reeeally highly recommend the ones from 'Go Inks'. You get four cartridges (of the same colour) for around £5 with shipping and they last for ages, typically around a month with moderate printing, and the print quality is still really good. This is what I use for all my printing needs these days. You can get them on amazon, just search for "4 Compatible Cyan XL Printer Ink Cartridges to replace T1301 (and T1302, T1303, T1304 for colour). The only thing I would say is that if you mix these cartridges with the original ones, sometimes the colour can be a bit off. If you use only the same brand of cartridges though, it prints great. All round, this is a great - and veeeery economical - printer, if you know the right tricks ;) Ten stars.

Fantastic printer with great functionality at a really great price!
I got this printer to replace an HP inkjet machine that we've had for over 6 years. I've always seemed to gravitate towards HP and have never had any major problems. So, going for an Epson seemed like a bit of a leap of faith. However, I've been very impressed with this machine so far and it has worked perfectly. It's a bit a big size-wise (it goes back quite a way), but as the paper feeder sits under the machine, you can just chuck 250 pages in there and forget about it. The setup was very straightforward - it managed to find my wireless router and get connected (via my PC to setup permissions and access). After that, everything was a breeze. My main requirement was wireless printing, and this works without any problems. At the moment, I have my Windows laptop, a MacBook, two iPhones, an iPad and a Nexus 7 all connected to it, and each works perfectly - doing both normal and duplexed prints. The machine also has its own email address which is connected to the Epson cloud printing service, so even if you're away from home you can send a job to the device; if it's switched on it will print straight away, otherwise it's held as a job on their server until the machine is next switched on. It can also apparently use Google cloud print, but I've not been able to get this working properly; this isn't really a problem for me, as everything else works perfectly, and there's no other function I really need it do that would require the need of the Google services.Print quality is generally pretty good - I use the standard print setting (rather than high-quality), which has been fine for documents, presentations and spreadsheets. Speed is good as well, not quite up to a laser printer speed, but a double-sided page probably takes about 10-15 seconds depending on page complexity. A nice feature of the printouts is that they don't seem as susceptible to smearing if you want to use a highlighter (which as a perennial problem with the HP printouts). What surprised me was being able to wirless scanning as well (though with hindsight this seems pretty obvious) - I had thought I would need to connect via the USB to do this, or do some complicated thing like sticking an SD card in the machine and setting it up as a network drive. But, it was so much easier than that- just stick a page in the scanner and I could scan to either of the laptops or to one of the portable devices. Once scanned, the document can be saved as an image, copied, emailed... whatever you want to do.The one function I've not tested is the fax capability, but that's not something I'll really ever need to do.Overall, in the month or so I've had this machine, I've been incredibly impressed. It's worked seamlessly with a range of devices and hasn't thrown up any problems. I'm not sure how ink hungry it is, but as it uses separate cartridges for black and the three colours, it should be relatively easy to regulate (and there's high capacity cartridges as well to be a bit more economical).Definitely recommend this printer!!
