Bought this to eliminate multiple cords. Worked for 24 hours and then poof! Loud pop and the lights flickered and that was it. Luckily it didn't damage the devices that were plugged into it. So I guess the surge protection does work but it fried the unit. Tried plugging & unplugging, resetting the switch etc. It was dead.The best thing is Amazons return process, quick and easy.

3 plug ins for stuff on my desk, 4 fast charge USB outlets (2.4A) work for my charging station that had 4 item slots for speakers, bike lights, battery back ups, kindle and phone. They fast charge is awesome!I worry about wasting energy, and wanted a top side switch to shut off everything when i'm gone and done charging things. The power strip itself draws 0 wattage unless it has items charging.I intailly thought it was weird place to put a light to let you know it's plugged in utill I went to plug in a USB in the dark. Good light placement!

I got this to power all the stuff on my home office desk. It works perfectly. I love that it mounts to the wall right above my desk, so it isn't taking up precious space on my desk, and it is secured strongly enough I can yank cords in and out as needed without climbing under the desk. I love the USB ports so I don't have to waste any of the outlets plugging in an adapter to power all the little USB items I need. This includes plenty of regular and USB outlets to power everything on my desk and the random stuff the rest of the family wants charged up. It has no problem fully powering everything with all the outlets full.

I mounted this usb surge protector within minutes of opening the box. I installed it on the back of a night stand in a spare bedroom. In addition to the screws I also used a little wood glue because the screws are tiny.I like the ease of installing and there are 4 USB ports to use when I have a guest. Thinking about buying a couple more for other rooms in my home. An A++ purchase!

It is mountable with is great....comes with mini screws....you may need larger. Improvements....needs labeling so when others use it, it is easy for them. There is a ON/OFF switch on the side....kinda hidden, so I labeled it. There is nothing that says the Voltage and Amperage....so I labeled it. There is an internal tiny white LED light that comes on when the unit is turned ON....did not know that. Great value and works fine. Joe

I bought a magnetic USB/outlet charging station for my desk from sams club back in the day that would magnetize to the bottom of my desk using some 3M double-sided tape and a magnet. It worked okay but the outlet was loose and never held anything. I paid $30 for that, but only paid about $15 for this one and this one is about 100 times better. It comes with mounting holes so you can screw it into the side of the desk (very small screws) and has LED lit USB ports. The outlets hold strong (plugs don't just fall out like the other one) and I can manipulate it with one hand. Great buy and super convenient.

I'm using it in an RV. Works and looks exactly as I planned. Have not tested the USB power on all my devices yet. A few are sometimes picky about the 5V power but no problems yet.Follow-up: works very well on all my equipment. USB plugs are firm and have not loosened. I have 4 in a truck camper. There is a dim light that Illuminates the USB socket and it is 'wonderfly dim'. I have 2 of them on the wall right next to our heads. There is just the right amount to find the socket in the dark but not at all distracting to sleep.

This is an update from an earlier review. Initially I like them (I purchased 3 over a couple months), but then one USB port stop working on my first one purchased, witch I could live with. Then the third one all four ports stop working. Now I'm looking for replacements. I won't buy these again, hope my next pick works out better. (This all happened within the first 2 years of purchase)
