This Amazon page said it wouldn't fit my car - It does, so what's up, seller?
Get Amazon warning that these bulbs would not fit my vehicle. Bulb H11B. That is what my car takes. I see other questions from people also wondering about this discrepency. Seller should fix this problem because it's confusing and probably driving away customers. As long as the bulb designation is correct for the vehicle and it is DOT compliant, it should fit. The H11B fit our vehicle just fine, as it should. As for other things, PIAA bragging about how "Xtreme White" it is, is misleading. These are not extremely white bulbs. The color temp is 4000K which was the same as our OEM bulbs. They are brighter, however and that's much more important. Many bulbs will claim color temperatures up to 6000K which they achieve by applying blue filter to the bulbs. This makes them appear whiter, at the expense of brightness because the blue is blocking out other colors of light. That is a marketing gimmick appealing to the misperception that whiter equals brighter. I can understand whi PIAA tries to play the game with "Xtreme White" and even goes to the length of painting the tips of the bulb blue instead of black, which is purely for show. However these bulbs do not resort to the blue-glass trick, which is GOOD because you're getting a nice bright 4000K beam with nothing filtered out. If you can get over the idea that lights must be as white as possible, these bulbs provide good seeing. And that's what headlamps are for -- seeing.

Excellent color, but brightness only marginally better than my 14-year-old stock bulbs.
Don't be put off by the blue tint on these bulbs, the light that comes out of them is perfectly white. In my opinion, that is the biggest factor - the color. The brightness is merely 'noticeably better' than the stock OSRAM halogens that the car came with, 14 years ago. (Seriously, never replaced them. 14 years, used as DRL's and everything. Impressive.)I got these thinking that those old ones were, well... old. I contemplated HID's, but for those to be any good, you need to retrofit the reflector housing with a projector, and I wasn't prepared to a. spend that much, nor b. do the work necessary. LED bulbs were another choice, but the reviews seem like they only give a marginal improvement over halogens and the technology is relatively new. I went with high-end halogens instead. These lights, let me tell you, were a pain in the butt to install, but it is not the fault of the lights themselves, but rather the car. The old bulbs had been in there for 14 years and pretty much welded themselves to the connectors, so it took literally all of my strength to pull the connector from the old bulbs' three prongs on the back. However, the actual installation of the BULBS was a piece of cake. Slide it in, clip the clips, plug it in. Done.Performance:At first, I replaced only one bulb, so I had PIAA on the right, 14-year-old OSRAM on the left. PIAA was definitely brighter - but only enough for me to notice, ya know? Not like POW but more of a "oh hey, yeah it's brighter." But the biggest difference was the color. I never thought the light from the old bulbs was "yellow" per se, but next to this light, yes definitely - this PIAA is what I'd call perfect white.Driving at night, the brightness difference is only marginal, but definitely noticeable; again, the biggest difference being the color of the light. The botts dots are much more visible (they seem to reflect more) with these bulbs, on both low and high beam. That's the biggest change. The color is a lot more pleasing to use and VISIBILITY is increased, but brightness is only marginally better. In conclusion. Yes, brighter, but only a bit. Color is the biggest difference (it's perfect) and does contribute significantly to the improved visibility.

It is all about the color rating
I purchased several sets of PIAA extreme white bulbs of differing sizes, tried them, returned some to Amazon then purchased some of what I returned again. Why?PIAA, Hella, Sylvania etc. seem to market the non-HID or Xenon automotive bulb products primarily by wattage and light temperature (Kelvin). I do not normally find a lumen rating which I would prefer since my objective in upgrading bulbs is to see further or brighter. My 1991 BMW uses traditional halogen bulbs everywhere so I hoped for better-than-OEM. Here are my conclusions after installation and usage.I find "wattage" as in 55w=110w misleading. I do not believe, and my opinion, that the extreme white bulbs illuminate any further than the original 55w halogen bulb. I placed one PIAA in one of two fog lights and observed equidistant visibility with it and the stock Hella type 9006 55w bulb. Thus, "lumen" would be the measurement I would have preferred rather than watts. The Kelvin scale color temperature is what you are really benefitting from. I tested with an original, probably 3200k bulb on the right side, a 4000k 'extreme white" on the left side and big difference! The whiter looking 'extreme white' or any 4000k rated bulb or higher will look 'brighter' but it simply is a higher Kelvin scale color. I probably agree with the marketing suggestion that a whiter white may help you see more clearly in the dark, not necessarily farther out.But here is the catch and why I returned some "extreme white" bulbs. Placed behind a color lens such as a side marker or turn signal, the color is not 4000k but becomes yellow or red. So, I see no benefit to the premium price for a 4100k bulb in this instance. To its credit, PIAA does not seem to suggest the low wattage bulbs for such application are any higher wattage than the stock bulbs. To be clear, I suggest 'upgrading' to a higher kelvin-rated bulb only for clear lens applications such as backup lights, fog lights and headlights if your car uses older halogen bulbs in the 3200k range. The benefit is a whiter white that helps visibility with its contrast, not its lumens. I returned the side marker lights and wedge lights that fit behind color lenses. I re-ordered the wedge since I acquired new headlight assemblies that had a wedge bulb in addition to H1 bulbs not in the original BMW fitment. With the new headlamp assembly and PIAA extreme white bulbs, there is a decided color difference perceived as brighter but not illuminating further out.I just returned from a 1400 mile trip using the PIAA extreme white bulbs. The road side signs seemed to pop out. I did not have any angry "you are too bright" flashes from on-coming cars. The higher Kelvin-scale bulbs are worth the upgrade for clear lamps, not colored lamps.

Much brighter than OEM bulb, color not as white & blue as stated
Very bright and much better than OEM bulb. However, the light are not white and blue as stated in the description, color is very similar to the OEM halogen bulb. Little disappointed

Overpriced and overrated.
Replaced my H7 bulbs (nightbreakers) with these. They are a little better, but not all the hype and advertising claims about them. If and when they blow I will be returning to Osram. Certainly not worth the money, but I had to pay to find out for myself.

Great bulbs, their probably the brightest H11 on the market without switching to L.E.D, or H.I.D.
They’re much brighter the OEM low beam bulbs, but not obnoxiously bright. Impaired these with the matching high beam bulbs and the combo works fantastic on dark rainy country roads.

Fitting is an easy straightforward exchange.
Real and very marked improvement over the standard halogen bulbs fitted in my 2010 Jaguar XF 3.0 litre

Best halogen replacement bulb
Compared my old halogen bulb to this one after replacing the first one and the difference was amazing. Significantly brighter / whiter light from the PIAA. I have about 6,000 Kms on the bike (about 120 hours) and no failures. Had to break off one tab on the base to get the bulb to fit into the socket but after that it went in perfectly.
