I have an indoor security camera that came with my home security system. Aside from how ugly it was, it also only gave me the ability to view and record and probably made guests feel uncomfortable with a camera pointed right at them. I was excited to try the Panasonic Homehawk discreet camera and it did not disappoint! The lamp itself is very slim and fits just about anywhere and unless you are right up on the lamp you cannot see the camera. Assembly was very simple and only took me about 10 minutes to put together. The lamp has three light settings that you can adjust by simply touching an area on the lamp. The ambient light is very nice, not too bright but offers enough to light up the area. I was very impressed with the camera. The picture quality was great and if you access the camera at night it will actually light up in order to give you the clearest view but even without the light on the night vision is much clearer than my previous camera. I am able to get my entire living room, kitchen, and dinning area with the wide angle lens of the camera. Unlike my previous camera, this one gives you the ability to talk through the device too. This is a great feature for people with kids or pets. I am also able to use my Alexa to turn light on and off and view video, another feature my previous camera did not have! A couple other benefits is that this lamp also has a battery backup in case of power outages and a micro SD slot if you want to record. I also have the Homehawk outdoor camera system and am able to have both those cameras and my floor camera all on one app for viewing. This floor camera cost about as much as my previous one but offers much more bang for my buck so I am very happy with it and highly recommend!

It's not discreet - it doesn't look like a "normal" floor lamp. But it works quite well, and has battery backup if you are worried about power failure. i wish the light was brighter, otherwise this is the best of the Homehawk series I've tried. You might need to reboot this lamp after making settings changes or firmware upgrade. The homehawk system works well, and there are newer options from other vendors.

Simply excellent. It works all the time. Just make sure you’re getting the right micro sim for video storage. Because, other type doesn’t work.

I am returning mine. WORSE THING OF IT is that you CAN NOT shut the light off, meaning it WILL ALWAYS come on when the moving sensor is on. its annoying to have to see the light ALLLLL THEEEEEE TIMEEEEEEE AND COLOR is not a crystal as ADVERTISED. actually black and white works pretty good. if your internet for any reason changes and you have to re set it up.... WELL, YOU MAY NOT BE ABLE TO DO IT AGAIN. SOOO it kinda is a one time set up and get stuck with it if you try to make it work with a new internet or mobil phone. PRETTY KOOL IDEA but still a bit to go to make it worth the 300 dollars. too bad, I really really liked it at first then I hate it at last .....

Nothing I don't like about. Totally satisfied with this lamp.

says it is discreet but you can totally see the camera on the lamp lol....hide it in a dark corner of the room and pray the intruder doesn't notice it. the lamp is really bright, which is a nice surprise, and it is adjustable. the gray fabric looks really nice. the issue is it loses connectivity just like all the reviews complained about, it is not reliable like other homehawk devices, so at least it is backup....i like that it is battery powered, i wish it worked perfectly and recorded every time.

Hard to get this thing connected to internet after initial set up

It's been sitting in my second bedroom for a while because I can't get it to work. I called tech support, but they couldn't assist me at all. Oh well, it looks good. Can't win them all!
